I already like this guy: poised, confident. Should be our connection point between perimeter and inside game.

P.S. I might be mistaken but Towns scored his dunk after Bjelica fought for rebound.

very impressed with Belly. He's so fundamentally sound in all areas. He was a little reluctant to shoot the 3 ball yesterday but easily correctable. Very smart player that only comes with experience. He's not your typical rookie

I'm impressed with his adaptation from the fiba to the nba. He is doing the same things since his first game and perhaps he is more versatile in the nba between the SF and the PF. I doubt between ricky/martin/wiggins/BJ/Towns and Ricky/Wiggins/BJ/Towns/Dieng.

I resist the idea of waste his pass skills from the perimeter if he plays near the paint. Moreover most of his points are long shots and penetrations and he can defend better perimeter players.

I'm impressed too. He has feel for the game: knack for rebounds and right timing, court vision, decision making, unselfishness. What a difference between him and our young players who have all athletic tools, but often fail to put it together during the game. I'd love to see development of connection between Bjelica and Towns, this is something that we haven't seen for a while: two excellent passers in our frontcourt, making everybody else better. A few things:

1) he is not SF, he is pure stretch PF, who takes advantage in speed and quickness to beat opponent bigmen

2) he should not defend SF, because he will be exposed by more athletic, skilled NBA SFs. Also he is such a good rebounder, so defending on perimeter will be waste his rebounding skills.

3) I believe that we need to give him every opportunity to attack the basket and create for others. This is because we really lack playmaking talent in our backcourt, where we rely our hope on Rubio passing genius and Wiggins progress. I'm not saying that should play point guard, but ball should be in his hands more often. As we have seen he usually makes right passes to other bigman: Towns, Dieng.

Lets Bjelly the team!

Rubio
Shabazz
Wiggins
Bjelica
Towns

In this 5 we have 2 blackholes in Shabazz and wiggins, 3 facilitators in Rubio, Bjelly and Towns and 4 finishers in everyone but Rubio.
What is there not to like?

The defense of Shabazz, I suppose.

How are Jelly and Towns going to hold up on D this year, do ya think?

Every broadcast team that we have played against is raving about this guy...that says something.

Glad he is going to be playing the majority of minutes at the PF spot

Well, sort of. Don't take it literally. He is the type of player we needed to stretch the floor with his driving to the rim and his passes. He takes 3's, rebounds...and he has that champion character I think he will be very very important this season.

Big fan. This is the kind of player the Spurs would go after. Just knows the game.

Bjelica can be for us the player who Kirilenko could have been, but with 26 years instead 33. Yeah, BJ for us is a 4 and AK was a 3 but AK liked to play near the paint and BJ loves to play near od the perimeter.

Same versatility between the 3 and the 4, same size (BK is 1 inch taller and also seems his wingspan is bigger), perhaps AK had a stronger personality, leadership and was better defender and BJ is better shooter, ballhandling and BBIQ, but he still can enhance his skills.

I think he is like a starter now, maybe KG was in the lineup but BJ will end every games since the beginning of the season ... hopefully.
