I'd say that's a high probability. When you add in a team's desire to tank if it looks like it's going to be close, then it may be higher than that.

10 is a long way from 15. Golden State just went into tank mode and is currently sitting in the 10 spot.

Besides, look at Utah's roster. It's clearly a team that is on the way to rebuilding and hasn't quite bottomed out yet. Jefferson, Harris, and Milsap all expire next year. It's hard for me to imagine them making a playoff push.

I love that story ... "Beasley is a VERY hot topic ..." and "many" teams are interested ... and it's from a Minnesota source. What do you think they're going to say? No one wants the guy. Clearly they want to move him and clearly they're trying to create a market for him. Whether any of this is actually real? I haven't found a team dying to get their hands on Beasley. I think some would take him for the right price ... but teams are lined up to give away assets for him.

Makes sense to me...

I'm fine with that. Beasley isn't a negative on the team. I'd rather keep him and have a $6 million expiring next season than take a crap deal like what's been rumored around here.

Shrug. Depends what you mean by easily. I'd take that bet any day.
In my opinion it's a pick that in all likelihood won't be received this year. (Hollinger puts there playoff odds at 26.3%). After that it's murky. I don't think it's going to be a tipping point in persuading Orlando to make a Reddick for Beasley deal, or a deal for any other worthwhile player. For example, I'd rather have the Lakers 2012 1st than the Utah pick, given it's protections.

My initial reaction is no! He's 31 years old on the decline with a moderately bad contract.

I don't care about Beasley. For the magic, he would be a nice expiring contract. Cap space for next season.

Really, I just have mixed feelings about this potential trade. He does shoot a high 3 point percentage. Averages 12 points and 3 rebounds. I only remember him from his Golden State-Phoenix days.

Magic fan here, his game so far on our squad is nothing like it was. He started the year extremely cold, and when he isn't shooting well he isn't doing much else. Lately he has come on for us though, I think his biggest problem is he needs a great passer to give him open looks but since the Magic don't have one he just sucks on our team most nights. Give him a healthy Rubio and I think he would be a great pickup for you guys.

As it stands it looks like this Magic trade isn't happening and your getting Crawford right?
