Too bad i cannot watch the games live this year. I will have to download them the next morning and watch them at work. Either way, i am so exited about our new team. It will be such a fun season.

League Pass is what I get now that I'm away from Minnesota.

Yeah, you can watch it live or what I like to do is let it get going for a bit and then start watching. Their lame scoreboard and music in between breaks gets old.

I wish their Roku app was a bit better though, it had some annoying issues (can't start watching a game until 10 minutes after it starts (and it's behind live), no option to turn off scores so you have to cross your eyes and select the game to avoid a spoiler.

Otherwise it's pretty solid, though it kind of sucks for west coast road trips. Being in Vegas means I can't watch the home feed against the Lakers, Kings or Clippers.

Definitely nice to be able to go back and watch games again, it was fun to rewatch some wins against good teams and see how their announcing crew handled it. It's a good way to find the best local announcing crews around the NBA and is an absolute blast when the Wolves beat a team where the announcers get butthurt over it.

Though I think I may checkout ballstreams this season, they don't have any blackouts and apparently their Roku app is better and they are cheaper than LP (and have pretty good reviews).

Agreed, I'm not ready to give up on him, point guards tend to mature a little later than other positions... And I don't think he's playing bad anyway, people talk like he's playing like crap, but he's our best PG since Sam Cassell...

Rubio is a great point guard. He just doesn't have a shooting mentality, or the ability to shoot well.

I wish he got training from a guy like John Stockton - that guy could shoot and was not athletic at all (where Rubio is quicker and can probably jump higher).

30 NBA Stars, Led by Chris Paul, On The Spot for 30 NBA Teams This Season

RICKY RUBIO, MINNESOTA: Kevin Love couldn’t get this bunch into the playoffs, even as a top-five player. Now the task falls to Rubio, who as point guard will be charged with providing some direction and leadership for new coach Flip Saunders alongside a suddenly young bunch. (He is one of six players on their rookie deals.) He hasn’t had much practice in that area, and there haven’t been a ton of Europeans who have been anointed alpha dogs. Of course, Rubio could blame anything that goes wrong on Anthony Bennett, who is one bad season away from being called Kwame 2.0.

I laughed so much with the last sentence.

he's also the the agent for Kevin Martin, Barea, and Corey Brewer. You'd think he'd return a favor once in awhile, but I guess not.

Wait, so Ricky Rubio is still on the team? Instead of Bledsoe? But.. But... I thought we were going to get Mini-Lebron ( ) for a bag of peanuts and he would be our PG for the future. I mean, we had the leverage, right?

We were close to becoming the Cavaliers forum (actually we did for a few days), but hopefully we can move on now, watch Flip buy Barea out, and start forming a nice group with Ricky, Pek and the young guys. There's no reason for any part to sign a contract extension right now if the sides are so apart (even though I think it's Fegan and not Ricky who demands a max). Forget the drama, focus on the training camp and the preseason games, let the season play out, and then we'll see where Ricky Rubio stands among PGs in the league and what he's worth in the market / for Minnesota.

Not sure if that number was already posted some weeks ago but it appears Flip's starting offer is at 4/42.

4/42 to 4/44 is about what I'd expect Minnesota to put on the table. I can see why they're offering that... and I can see why Ricky is not taking it. It is a fair deal for Rubio *as is*, but Ricky is not a finished product and he can still prove to be worth more than that.

On top of that, waiting for the free agency is a potential low-risk high-reward for Ricky. If he doesn't have a better season shooting wise, he might find himself at the 4/38 range instead of 4/42, which I'd say is close enough. However, if he gets above the 40% shooting mark and maybe 12 ppg, racks up assists and steals as usual, and proves to be a leader on this young team, he will command a much bigger contract next summer.
