He needs to add some muscle mass and some strength so he can be more effective in the lane and around the basket. He just bounces off defenders now.

He's looking for D Rose muscles: power, acceleration, reaction, not muscles in a body building way. By the way, Dwight Howard shoulders are an impossible dream for Rubio, LOL.

I wonder what kind of knee support (I don't know the term) is he going to wear next year.

If he doesn't, then he clearly doesn't have passion for the game.

He looks like a member of One Direction. I didn't even recognise him in that first pic. Bring back the 'stache!

I like that. Looks like a new rookie player. Surprise factor.

With both Rubio and Love shaved they´ll look like a school team (but a tricky one). Funny.

Love looks terrible now! Yet another let down to the end of this season. Bring back the stache!

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the hottest NBA player of them all?

Well, according to a (very) informal poll by Cosmopolitan.com, it's Duke University star turned Orlando Magic role player J.J. Redick, but Minnesota Timberwolves rookie point guard Ricky Rubio finished second.

The website asked readers to tweet their picks for "The Hottest Guys of the NBA," and Redick reeled in the most votes, and this (somewhat errant given that Redick plays shooting guard) praise from Cosmo editors: "This sexy point guard earned our MVP Award — he got the most votes of anyone (and it's easy to see why)."

Rubio, who suffered an ACL tear on March 9 that ended his season but apparently didn't dull his popularity with the ladies, earned this compliment: "We're not sure what we love most about Ricky – his jacked biceps or his adorable shaggy hair."

Toronto Raptors forward Linas Kleiza, Phoenix Suns guard Shannon Brown and San Antonio Spurs center Tiago Splitter rounded out the top five.

JJ and Ricky I get, but the rest of them? Kleiza and Splitter look like washed up UFC fighters.

Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
