Yes We Kahn wrote:His surgeon in Vail is not paid by Glen Taylor and he is the one who decides when it is appropriate for Rubes to return.

I don't know who usually pays these surgeries, the organization, the player or a insurance Co., but in all cases I am convinced the player has the last word about his return.

If I was a organization member I would be very worried about a early return. The team needs a healthy Rubio for the last part of the season if we don't want try to get the playoffs with only Ridnour/Barea. Nobody here wants to think about that.

IMO and I haven't any information about that, Ricky wants to play already but Kahn, Adelman and Taylor prefer for him a conservative and progressive "re-entree" ... otherwise if Rubio damages his knee again or if has a muscle or ankle injury due a lack of play, Timberwolves has wasted 2 years of his contract and Kevin Love will be UFA at 2015.

I hope a Rubio's return without a big impact, with few minutes and with a progressive growth of minutes from early February. I don't care if he plays next week, at middle of Dec, at Christmas or at January. I don't about him, I'm thinking about the team and the playoffs.

I don't think there's any reason to be excessively cautious. Let's just follow doctors orders and he should be fine.

He will probably always be a bit flat footed when shooting beyond the arc, but it's easy to see on that video that whenever he gets a little more lift on his jump, he's got a much higher success rate (while otherwise his shots are rather short). Actually, it's basically the same that we saw last year as the wear and tear of his first NBA season began to affect his shot, and his accuracy got lower and lower as he could barely leave the ground sometimes (both with his J and on layups).

Here's hoping that he learns from it, improves his stamina and becomes more concious about the need to get the right lift in order to make his shots at a nice clip.

Antoni Daimiel, NBA commentator in Spain, wrote this on his blog:

Muy pendientes de los partidos como local de Minnesota Timberwolves ante Cleveland Cavaliers (7 Diciembre) y ante Denver Nuggets (12 Diciembre). Ricky Rubio podría reaparecer en uno de esos partidos.

Stay tuned for the home games of the Minnesota Timberwolves against the Cleveland Cavaliers (December 7) and the Denver Nuggets (December 12). Ricky Rubio might reappear in one of those games.

Pros in either decision

December 7: Happy birthday to me!
December 12: Same team Kevin returned against

If it were between those two I'd rather he come back against the Nuggets. The Cavs are pretty punchless without Irving and he gets another 5 days off.

But...I'd rather ease him back in against Boobie Gibson or whoever rather than immediately going against Ty Lawson.

AND IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!

Id rather him come back against the Cavs. Gives him a game to get under his belt against a PG playing in a very winnable game. Basically gets him warmed up for the Nugs

So that means he might be back in 10 or 15 days? The Nuggets game maybe?
If you want to try to measure the elements of basketball that are supposedly unmeasurable, spend a game just watching Marc Gasol.
