Kidd gets a 3 year deal at 39, Nash gets one at 38. Grant Hill trade rumours. Does anyone retire anymore!!?

Yeah. That's mind blowing. Unless those deals aren't guaranteed or there are team options beyond the 1st year those deals might eventually bite the Knicks and Lakers in their butt. Particularly the Kidd deal. 3 years at the age of 39?

I think the Kidd deal won't hurt too much. He can only get, what, like 3 mil a season? Now, Nash at just over 8 per...that could hurt, especially considering how much money Gasol and Bryant are due.

Stockton was still a force at 41. If a PG takes care of their body and plays smart, they can do it.

^ that's what I'm thinking.

Wonder if Philly is waiting because of the Dwight deal...or maybe they are waiting on us? A deal that we would trade for Iggy if we don't get Batum perhaps?

Ridnour+Johnson+Ellington+Memphis 1st for Batum
Miller+Milicic+Webster+Minnesota 1st for Iguodala
Sign Greg Stiemsma w/ MLE
Sign Tolliver to vet min

Rubio/Barea/M.Lee
Iguodala/Roy/Shved
Batum/Iguodala/Budinger/Williams
Love/Williams/Tolliver/Hummel
Pekovic/Stiemsma/Tolliver

Super-deep & super-talented team.
/pipedream & the groans of Glen Taylor's wallet.

Miller, Webster, and Darko are our cap space. If we trade them for salary we can't sign Roy and Schved.

Then let me re-propose the pipe-dream. And good point!

Ridnour+Johnson+Memphis 1st for Batum
Miller+Milicic+Webster+Minnesota 1st for Iguodala
Sign Roy w/ MLE
Sign Tolliver to vet min

Rubio(34)/Barea(14)/M.Lee
Iguodala(30)/Roy(12)/Budinger(6)/Ellington
Batum(36)/Williams(6)/Budinger(6)/Hummel
Love(26)/Williams(22)/Tolliver
Pekovic(30)/Love(12)/Tolliver(6)

Not as nice as originally planned but definitely a #4 seed, perhaps #3.

I remember Philly liking Wes Johnson in that draft. Don't know if they still like him, but he might be a trade piece.

I'm bumping this because it looks like the Dwightmare might actually finally be coming to an end. If Dwight is willing to resign with the Lakers (good GAWD!, those darn Lakers), then I see a trade happening in the next week.

I guess I'm confused with the Bynum to Cleveland stuff. I understand that ORL doesn't want a Dwight situation with Bynum, but if all they are getting from CLE is picks...why isn't HOU in the picture at all?
Do the Cavs have better picks and prospects than the Rockets? Can the Lakers take more bad contracts from ORL than HOU can?

If this happens, how many Big 3 contenders are there?
Bos - KG, Pierce, Rondo
OKC - Durant, Westbrook, Harden
MIA - Wade, Bron, Bosh
BKYN - Johnson, Wallace, Williams (Lopez)
LAL - Kobe, Dwight, Pau (Nash)
SA - Duncan, Parker, Ginob

I'd be interesting to crunch the numbers and see how many all-stars and NBA 1st,2nd,3rd teamers those 6 teams have had in the last 5 years compared to the rest of the league.
