I'd compare Porter to Prince

I wish his D was like Prince. Prince has more freakish length than Porter, but Porter is more of shooter.

My preference as of now: Noel, McLemore, Shabazz, Porter, Len.

Victor Oladipo's worst case comparison is Tony Allen

BTW...

Some here have been worried that we might be just good enough to miss the playoffs but lose our pick (ie pick 14), but we are practically guaranteed right now to have our pick, unless somehow miraculously MEM falls to the lottery and we land pick 14. By my count, that's the ONLY way we don't have a first.

if we cant get a decent guard/ small forward that can shoot then we should look at some of the 7 footers.

i think iisash austin should be there in the mid first round.

Yeah its a virtual certainty we won't be making the playoffs this year. I think we should aim for creating the strongest team we can for next year now. Isaiah Austin is intriguing but Rudy Gobert may be a better option.

I could see him being upset if they ended up losing. No reason to act like that after a victory. He wanted the GW and he wanted all the glory.

Yup. Most likely Wolves will have 2 first rounders this year.

Triple, quadruple, quintuple checked: Suns don't get Mem pick unless Minny makes playoffs in 2013. Otherwise, rolls to future. #2014better

That's true only if Memphis AND Minnesota make the the playoffs. If Minny misses the playoffs in 2013, they keep their pick and Memphis’. But the Timberwolves still owe their 1st round pick to the Suns (top-13 protected in 2014, top-12 protected in 2015 and top-12 protected in the 2016). It has been confirmed with Suns front office.

That doesn't sound right. Why would both teams need to make the playoffs? Seems like an unnecessary protection.

I just read more of his tweets, and it makes sense. The trade wasn't for "the worst of the two picks", it was for the MIN pick (top 13 protected). And if MIN's pick fell out of protection and MIN had MEM pick, that's when it's the worst of the two picks.

But since the MIN pick would be protected, Phoenix wouldn't get a pick.

BTW he said he got his info from the Suns front office.

I think Shabazz may have dropped himself to #3 at best.

I've pretty much kept him at 3. If we were to get the 2nd pick and McLemore goes 1st, we have to take Noel.

If we don't get a top 3 pick in this draft (which I assume we don't) I really like the idea of Rudy Gobert on on this team with Rubio, but he is raw

Durant just said Darko is one of best centers in the league. For once, I'm not being sarcastic in a tweet. #Twolves

Nice thing about Noel is that he fits with both Love & Pek.

I'd take him with our MEM pick but not our own pick.

i'm really intrigued by this kid. 6'9 and a half extremely long wingspan, just turned 18 a month or so ago. has extremely high schoulders and is just ridiculously long. looking at a few highlights seems to have patterned his game after durant as i think he really moves and plays in that style. NOT saying he is or will be durant. would love to be able to see some full games. plays in 2nd division greece but may have signed to play in spain. obviously only highlights but he seems to have some amazing tools for development.

So bottom line is if we miss the playoffs and MEM makes the playoffs, we get both picks? So in all likelihood we get 2 1st rounders?

Assuming we don't get a top 3 pick and looking more towards the middle of the 1st, what's the story on Mason Plumlee this season? DX only has scouting stuff from his junior year and statistically it seems like he's made some major strides offensively this year, including raising his FT% by 12%.

Also, Victor Oladipo is pretty interesting.
Thriving on mediocrity since '89.
