Do you have any reason to believe that Asik or Lin would get the max?

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

I'm assuming he's referring to the backloaded contracts but I think Houston reworked those after they weren't matched, correct?

There was some misunderstanding over the poison pills in Lin and Asik deals. I'm guilty of it too, and thought they transferred to Houston, but that is not the case. Both are basically getting 8 mil each of the 3 years, not 5/5/15.

Yes. There is no poison pill. This is the league allowing the player's current team to match a contract they used to not be able to match at all by structuring the cap hit in an unconventional way. This is a benefit to the Bulls/Knicks of the world, not a poison pill.

I actually like Lamb's fit next to Durant and Westbrook in a few years. I doubt he plays much this year though. Throb will start, Martin off the bench.

The deals also practically guarantees Martin will be on the market next offseason if Adelman is interested. I see no scenario where OKC resigns him.

I also like that fit. I think they will complement each other nicely on the court and help strengthen the team.

Paul Coro ‏@paulcoro
The #Suns told Wes Johnson that they won't pick up a $5.4M option on him for 2013-14 but hope to sign him in July. He said he wants to stay.

In other words he either starts to produce or he'll be out of the league by end of the season.

Or in other words, he'll be out of the league after the season.

It's funny that it didn't take long for Wittman, Saunders, Casey, and McHale to find new homes. Rambis is still sitting by the phone waiting for a job offer.

Wittman is the only funny one. The other 3 can coach their way out of a paper bag.

They aren't as horribly incompetent as Rambis/Whittman, but they are pretty bad, except for Casey.

Flip should've been fired long ago in Washington. McHale alienated his best point guard and Houston ended up trading Lowry.

Give it half a season and we will have Love for Harden/Asik threads bouncing around.
"That's why the last two years weren't guaranteed," Walsh said. "Either way, he knew it could have happened either way."
