Also, the fact that they're looking at Mike Dantoni to replace him makes me happy. Way to keep the poor choices coming.

It's not like he wasn't disappointing for a whole season already. The Wolves are an example of what can happen when you are too lazy to just pull the trigger, and fire a terrible coach.

Or, you can fire a coach at .500 midway through the season and replace him with Randy freakin' Wittman!

I couldn't understand why they hired Brown over Adelman or Shaw in the first place, but I'm glad they did. I mean Adelman had the best track record of all the candidates and all the players were raving about Shaw. I'd like to see Sloan come out of retirement and coach again, it would be cool to see him finally get a ring, even if it is with the Lakers.

Eh, I don't know. I want Sloan to win a title but not on behalf of the Lakers. It's hard to root for Nash while I hate the Lakers.

If they got Pringles I'd be happy.

Really awkward watching Kurt Rambis analyze the Lakers coaching situation.

This guy's an established LA basketball journalist. I found him very accurate and timely during the lockout..

Say what you want but Phil Jackson, while being a great coach, certainly has had tons of luck in terms of talent to work with. What was the worst roster he ever coached? Some early Michael Jordan Bulls teams? When did he return to the Lakers? Was it in 2006? 2007?

I think D'Antoni brought his name up by himself. Don't think any team wanting to contend in this league would give him a chance after that Knicks fiasco.

The most probable reason why they hired Brown is because the young Buss wanted to set free the franchise from everything that remembers Phil Jackson's times. First of all, I don't even know what was Brown doing with Lakers: Gasol, Bryant, Howard and Nash are too much for him. Andrew Bynum was too much for him last year.

Let's pray Kobe is the new coach: he will be finally getting his dream of full control/ Darth Vader of Lakers, and at the same time throw out every chance of blowing up the league, as this amazing move from Kupchack could do.

Anyway, it finished as ridiculous as it began.

I bet Knicks get the ring this year, LOL.

Approximately 25% of the time, perhaps.

D'Antoni hired by the Lakers. Bring back the seven seconds or less offense!

Looks like we still got a chance to sweep the Lakers this year after all!
