He's Austrian, by the way ;)

But this time I'm fine with people confusing an Austrian with a German. Because those sneaky Austrian bastards made the world believe Hitler was German and Beethoven was Austrian.

Ah but you are mistaken my friend! The actor Christoph Waltz is Austrian, Dr. King Shultz is in fact German.

Steph Curry has 27 points at the half against the Knicks and is leading the league in threes this season... Flynn over Curry... ...Why Kahn Why?! He's made some mistakes, but that was his biggest. A Rubio, Curry backcourt would be magical.

Agreed. Those are the two guys I really wanted out of that draft.

Curry 54 points. Flynn couldn't score half that in the Australian league.

It seemed like the W's v Knicks game had more threes then our season.

54 is pretty crazy. I wasn't a Curry believer in the draft though. Thought he'd win up like Jimmer has.

It's quite unreal considering just how amazingly well Rubio & Curry would complement each other! They're almost a perfect fit. One is a terrible shooter, the other is one of the best, one is a terrible defender, the other is a terrific one ...

They would also benefit tremendously from each other. Rubio would get Curry lots of great looks and in return be the league's assist leader, because Curry would actually hit those shots (unlike most current Wolves' players).

And herein lies the rub. Most of us thought this. But now that he's playing well its okay to use it as ammo to bash Kahn.

i didn't think he'd be capable of making the transition to the nba. i wanted jordan hill that year. he just seemed like the "safe" pick.

Hindsight is 20/20, but we knew Jonny Flynn was a pure point guard who was never going to transition into a SG. The smarter pick would have been to draft the combo guard who could hold his own at PG while we were waiting for Rubio, then move him over to SG. Or just pick a forward! Rubio and Flynn was never going to work.

I wanted DeRozan after Rubio. The only upside at this point I think if we had made that pick is that maybe we wouldn't have drafted Wes Johnson. That and we'd still have a functional NBA player on the team from that draft.

True but fans don't get paid to make personnel decisions. Kahn does. I understood the reasons for skipping on Curry at the time but DeRozan would have been a better pick than Flynn. Flynn was a head scratcher to everyone at the time. It was a PG heavy draft and bgood PGs were available later in the draft and Kahn had a later first round pick.

Definitely wanted DD with all the stuff between Curry's camp and the Wolves. He wanted to be the main man at PG, not a SG (or second ball-handler), anyway you want to look at it.

Keeping Lawson here until Rubio came over, or even keeping with Rubio here, would've been the smart thing to do. Lawson even plays alongside Andre Miller when games are on the line.

In the end, we missed out on adding one more good player to our current roster out of the '09 draft.

No one was a bigger Derozan fan than I, and I still am. I think he's an all-star in the next two years. He had 34 points the other night and shot 14-15 from the line.

We are all over the national TV landscape. Every time I have watched NBA TV or ESPN I see some promo about us being on national TV this week. I almost feel sorry for those networks giving us a chance. Bless their hearts for trying to get fans pumped up to see our games.

Tonight is our last TNT game, and we have no more ESPN games, so it's almost over.
