Aside from that pass that resulted in a turnover late in the game, Shved was perfect last night. He's quickly becoming my favorite player, even over Rubio.

I wish the Wolves store or NBA store made those jersey t-shirts of him.

I take it you don't live in Minnesota? If you do, MOA & Wolves shop in TC have plenty of Shved player tees.

Shved's current stats:
10.3 ppg
4.5 apg
2.6 rpg
39.4% FG
33.0% 3FG

Ginobili's current stats:
11.7 ppg
4.5 apg
3.7 rpg
41.5% FG
34.0% 3FG

I know Ginobili has been dealing with some injuries this year, but it just struck me how similar their numbers are so far this year.

I watched every game he played in the Olympics closely. I knew his game translated, it just depended on if Adelman gave him some freedom unlike Blatt. Blatt was almost like a dictator towards Alexey, frequently scolding him. Adelman is a lot more of a positive reinforcer when he messes up. I think confidence is an issue with Alexey and Adelman is the best coach for him

Shved ... has exceeded my early expectations and one of the bright sides that resulted from all the injuries that plagued the team.

Of all his SG assets, my favorites are his two working knees.

Oh, shrink you can be so cold blooded sometimes

It's true and you're damn right, though.

This comment of yours reminded me of a comment you had made years ago when we had an abysmal record at probably the same time of the year. We were 2-20 or something and had a difficult schedule. Your response was something like "Part of the reason our schedule has been so difficult is that we didn't play ourselves"
I even had it in my sig for months. It was so cold blooded, yet true

Blatt was coaching a team in the Olympics fighting for the first ever medals in russian history. That was also his last tourament with the national team and the most important in his coaching career.

Adelman is coaching a run of the mill NBA team in the middle of a regular season.

In other words stakes aren't the same. I'm sure, if the Wolves were in playoffs right now, Shved would be on a short leash.

Man, I hate the Ginobili comparison. Their styles are nothing alike. When I watch Shved, I don't see anything that reminds me of Ginobili except the occasional flashy pass. Manu was a reckless machine when driving to the basket and he's much more lengthier, making difficult shots at the rim look easy. Alex is more of a simple lay up kind of guy. He's plays softer and much slower and his array of offensive moves is way basic. I see a 15-16 PPG at max potential scorer in Shved.
