We are making the playoffs this year.

Write it down, ship it out. We are there.
"That's why the last two years weren't guaranteed," Walsh said. "Either way, he knew it could have happened either way."

Nothing like a loss like tonight's to keep you grounded. It's far too early for ANY playoff talk.

good point.
even though we hate to lose a winnable game, we can use this loss to ponder what the team still needs
in order to improve. even though we have a solid lineup, we still have a lot of work to do

Update 12/22/12

Currently 6th seed

Image

Key games

UTA @ MIA - Should be a game where Miami is a heavy favorite
MEM @ HOU - Have to keep the teams in the hunt for the 7th and 8th seed far, FAR away
CHA @ DEN - Looks like Denver should win this one though...

Undecided .... LAL @ GSW ..Do we want LAL to keep losing? Or do we think GSW will falter and become a lower seed?

The West is just too damn deep. I can't see us making the playoffs this season, but I would absolutely love to be proven wrong.

Wow -- Jazz were up by like 20 in the third, if I recall.

So right now, we're tied for 8th spot with two other teams .. all at .500. Time to get serious.

Way too soon to be giving up. We are sitting in 8th, and our two best players are still playing like crap recovering from injuries. They will play better.

I'm not giving up, just an early prediction. I think we will get better, but so will teams like the Lakers and Mavs. It's going to be really tough.

Dallas is 6 games below .500 at 12-18. It will take a really good stretch from them. Lakers I agree. But Houston won't stay this high IMO (5-12 vs West), and I think GS will fall off as well, (20-10, but only 8-8 vs West. 12-2 vs East).

Just checked the January schedule. It will be brutal. If we manage to win half the games I'd be very satisfied.

Edit: February won't be much easier, either. Ugh.

fortunately the team won't play utah until 1/2. rubio essentially has a full week without playing an nba game, so maybe he'll be allowed to play more minutes. the wolves will also be playing the next day against denver, so maybe rubio might have to sit that one out.

shake off the rust soon rubio.
