Only problem is, we need someone at the 2/3, not the 3/4.

No thanks. West isn't good enough to live with the likelihood of him screwing up.

I noticed Raja Bell hasn't played this season. I wonder if Kahn is still interested in him.

Darren Wolfson ‏@DarrenWolfson

I'm told the #Twolves spoke with Pietrus' camp yesterday. They want him. $$ still an issue. All they have to offer is the vet minimum.

Hmmm Didn't think about Pietrus... could be a decent pick up.

I read today on ESPN that Tony Allen may be a likely trade piece in Memphis due to the fact that he will look to get paid (decent money) in the offseason. Obviously with contracts like Gasol, Randolph, and Conley they don't have a lot of money to do that. I see two main problems in making the deal happen, the price that he would command and the fact that he may essentially be a rental player. Our wing defense would be pretty nasty behind TA and AK.

I think we are slight edge in dealing with MEM because we own their pick, and while most teams wouldn't value it that highly, teams always value their own picks. This wouldn't amount to much but could be the beginning of a deal. I'm not sure what else it would take, but I think we all know TA would be a highly valued player around here. Is he enough to consider moving Dwilliams? I would say Derrick and see if they will remove some protection on the pick (if we are giving up a young player for an expiring contract I wouldn't want to include the pick). Money is pretty similar with D Will actually making about 1 mil more.

Its definitely got its warts but it may be an avenue to consider. The money from Allen wouldn't hurt our ability to resign Pek, but might add a talented player to our talent pool if Pek opted to leave via FA.

Didn't we trade that Memphis pick to move Wes?

We traded our own pick (2013, top 13 protected)

Actually, we sent the lower of the two.

So any deal involving the MEM pick would probably require an okay from Phoenix. (checking with Coon)

west is the best player we can get in FA and if he takes a MIN contract could be a great two-way guard for us until we get our guys back.

Delonte? Not sure I want him in the locker room.

Kahn at the Hawks-Blazers game
Chris Haynes ‏@ChrisBHaynes
Interesting, Minnesota Timberwolves GM David Kahn is in the building. What you think about that?

Maybe he's looking at Morrow?

Devin Harris, Kyle Korver, Anthony Morrow and Tolliver are players we could possibly be looking at..
