The Minnesota Timberwolves strong start to the season is made even more impressive by the sheer number of injuries they've sustained. JJ,Pek and Roy all out.Ben Gordon missed last game cuz of a family emergency, its unclear if he will be available

@kmrolland Roy won't play, if I had to guess I'd say Pek doesnt and JJ probably does. We'll know more after shootaround

What??? Man, what is going on with Roy?

If this keeps up, he's definitely not lasting the year.

Edit - If they're keeping him out of games to make sure this injuries doesn't happen again later in the year, then i'm all for it..

The three guys we have to stop are Kemba, Sessions and MKG.

I don't think Ben Gordon is playing tonight, could be wrong though.

Which Wolf gets hurt tonight? My money is on Luke Ridnour's weak back. "When did he hurt it?... about a week back." -3 Stooges

First they said they aren't concerned about Roy's knee, then someone was saying he will probably be back today and now he is still out. Doesn't sound good. I wish it was just precaution and he used the time to get a lot of practice jumpers up because we need his shot. Maybe they plan to sit all these guys out the next two games because we have that big break coming up. Will give them several days to heal up.

On another note I am very excited to see MKG. Really enjoyed him in his brief summer league stint but he has disappointed after that. Thankfully he has looked pretty good again in his last few games. Hopefully AK puts a stop to that for tonight though.

You gotta wonder if Roy hasn't been letting on how much pain he's in just because he's been so adamant about feeling rejuvinated. All I know is he hasn't looked rejuvinated. And I can't think they'd be keeping him out of games this early to prepare for later in the season. I had the same thought but you'd think they'd let him work the rust off first. Besides, with all these injuries we need him now more than ever.

Any update on Pek?

I guess it's a good sign they're not asking for the injury exception so they can sign a couple guys to fill out the roster. Injuries can't be too serious.

If only Love was here. I think that Love did injure his hand by punching someone. He went back in time to punch himself for getting injured which caused himself to fall and break his hand which caused a time paradox which caused an injury loop for this franchise which is causing me to get pissed off. FIRE RAMBIS!

We might have to trade Roy's expiring contract for a player at this point.

It sounded like they may look more into it today, so I wouldn't rule it out yet.

Apparently they tried to get one for Budinger but were denied because it wasn't season-ending.
Next up Roy?

I really doubt the team moves Roy unless his injury is severe enough where he can't play. We need to be losing games and he needs to be actively hurting us for the front office to cash that chip in.

“We just keep losing guys,” forward Andrei Kirilenko said. “It’s like in the old ancient times. … There was that one king who was always winning the battle but losing so [many] people during the battle. So we’re like that king — winning battles but losing guys. What can we do? We just keep playing hard and try not to lose.”

I'd like to go to Vegas and bet my life savings on the under. I think this game will be in the 70's.

Hey guys, new here. Well by the looks of this game and the injuries, it's sad for me to write that the Bobcats are actually putting out more talent on the floor tonight. If Caged Lion doesn't provide the necessary scoring to compliment Kirilenko and Shved, we may actually lose this one

9 guys...

This is going to be ugly.

I have faith in the communist connection though.
