Additionally at the 1, Luke’s defense is pitiful. I don’t know if it’s his back or whatever, but if you’re a point guard with a handle, you are going to get by him on penetration basically whenever you want. Rubio’s defense is needed for this team badly

I agree. The Nuggets went small themselves. Dante is a perimeter player offensively. Having Pek on the post would've been beneficial I believe

Sounds like you may be on to something.

This move would look terrible to the people calling the Wolves the TimberWhites, but it would improve the team immensely.
Magic trade Redick and McRoberts to the Wolves for Williams and Ridnour.

CT: Pekovic/ Stiemsma/ Amundson
PF: Love/ Cunningham/ McRoberts
SF: Kirilenko/ Howard/ Budinger (IR)
SG: Redick/ Shved/ Roy (IR)
PG: Rubio/ Barea/ Lee

Looks solid to me.

They have an underground pipeline sucking water from Phoenix. How do you explain Jermaine O'Neal's corpse scoring 17 points last night?

Probably a "not gonna happen" idea, but I'm in 100%

All this talk about missing a quality SG makes me miss Budinger. He was quickly becoming one of my favs.

Nice to see KLove out there again. I think that having him on the floor does really bring out the need for a quality PG, though. The other guys really do have to figure out how to let him be the alpha without standing around and watching. Hopefully Rubio will also be back soon. I love how much he hates losing.

The other option is to try and work something out with Houston for Delfino, or Milwaukee for Dunleavy. Damn, the shooters I keep finding, who may be available are white. I'm seriously not trying to name white guys. Afflalo might be an option as well, or Jason Richardson.

Rubio-types have a knack for setting up players who do not create well on there own ... like QB going thru check-downs. Guys like Pek will benefit more than Love ... Lee more than Shved, etc... The common denominator of elite PG's.

The Rube is not a lock down defender by any stretch, but clearly an upgrade over Ridnour and JJB. He impacts the game with his ability to fill lanes, deflect passes, and help defense.

The Rube changed the NBA culture here in MN, and I pray he can recover just for the game itself. AK47's do-all ability and Shved reckless style have also added a another level of excitement ... I like what we can be rolling into 2013. the next 30 days we need to be very patient.

Until Lee gets a jumper nobody will help him, even Rubio. Look no further than Wes Johnson last season and he atleast could catch an alley-oop.

You guys got ripped off at the end of this game with the Gallinari flop and a no call for Kevin Love

Didn't you know that cooling bruises, sprains and injuries in general helps the body to recover? Minnesota is arctic country, thus players return early.

Shved needs to be in there at the end of games over Ridnour, that and a few bad calls cost them.

2 main reasons for loss from my perspective:
1. Ridnour and Lee awful offensive backourt in 3rd quarter
2. Too many plays for Love, others (especially frontcourt) had no chance to heat up offensively

Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
