Rubio, Love, Pekovic back in practice floor

Postby Calinks on Sun Nov 18, 2012 5:03 pm

They are back! Means their returns are hopefully going to be soon. Maybe Love within 12 days and Rubio within a few weeks.

Unfortunately the Roy news is still scary. All we can do is hope for the best I suppose. He might not play Wednesday still.

Nikola Pekovic was back on the floor participating fully, and Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio participated in 5-on-0 offensive walkthroughs for the first time.

Neither J.J. Barea (sprained foot) nor Brandon Roy (knee) participated in contact portions of practice on Sunday.

Roy declined an interview request after practice.

He's scheduled to return to Portland for his first game back there on Friday, but it's looking doubtful by the day that he'll be ready to play by then.

At this point I just want us to be able to void Roy's contract next season.

If we have to pay this guy and don't have the money to resign Pek it'll be a Kahntastrophy.

I'm more concerned about Barea. He was supposed to be the healthy one.

Barea has the same injury as Henderson and he was ruled out for weeks right of the bat I just don't see how Barea should be any different. I don't know why they were BSing us with this "day-to-day status" crap.

You have to think that the 2nd year of Roy's contract is going to be voided at this point.

Yeah, but what's the timetable then?

And he was playing so good too.

Sad to hear about Roy sounds like this might be the end of the road for him.But even with all of the injury the Wolves have a solid playoff team and a nice core of Love/Rubio/Pek and one of the better benches in the league.I still think that once Love and Rubio are back and a full or close to full strength we should look to tread Williams/Barea for a legit starting SG something realistic like Affaflo would be ideal.

I think the only thing hold this team back from being a title contender now is heath and a legit starting SG.

that orthokine procedure is a swindle of monumental proportions, MONUMENTAL I SAY!

Roy hasn't improved a bit and Bynum can't even go bowling without his cartilage crumbling to pieces.

Kobe is to the orthokine procedure as Mark McGwire is to androstenedione

At least we have Shved........looks like Howard is here to stay to play some SG to take over Roy's place, he's done.

orthokine is very useful in certain cases, it's just not the lapis philosophorum some think.
If you want to try to measure the elements of basketball that are supposedly unmeasurable, spend a game just watching Marc Gasol.

I wonder if Roy back in a month means walking with a noticeable limp or actually playing. I'll take the former

He didn't practice in full contact, because of the fear of a setback. There is no reason on letting him rest the injury this 5 days until Wednesday - if they are going to make him practice in between. I still think he'll be back Wednesday.
