Wolfson said in his "Scoops" today that Lakers have asked about Dante. This makes me think that Derrick is off-limits for now, which makes a lot of you happy. It also makes sense that the Lakers would be more interested in Dante than Derrick.

Which brings me to this...I know people are hesitant to deal Pek/Derrick package for Pau. Would a Pek/Dante package be better?

Lakers: We'll give you Pau for Pek/Williams package
Wolves: Nope, not dealing Derrick
Lakers: OK, well if you're not trading Derrick, what about Dante?

I think it is more likely we ride out this season with Pau and try to trade him on draft night. His contract expires after next season, he will be a lot more appealing to teams.

I think we already have a deal for Gasol in place, Mitch is just trying to find a pf to replace Pau and Cunningham might be his guy.
