Good night guys.

Yes, I appreciate the fact that we didn't lay down but there were a lot of gimmes that should have gone our way. I know it doesn't matter, just saying. I would also hope that we give D-Will more minutes after his outing tonight.

How did Derrick do tonight - the box score was very encouraging.

Of course it also helps if they sink some buckets. Guess we'll see how that goes.

To hell with moral victories. I'm tired of rooting for that ****.

He was very up and down most of the game but that's an improvement over being all down like he was early. The 4th was crazy though as he scored 18 points there alone. If it wasn't for that travel which could have been a foul, he would have had 20. Thats pretty explosive.

I think he can do well on an up and down team. Give him a couple of years and put him on the Warriors or Nuggets and he could be a decent piece.

Still had a few stinkers but overall it was encouraging. I wouldn't bet on him to reproduce this kind of performance consistently, though.

Wes Matthews 3pt% this year: 40.3%
Wes Matthews 3pt% against the Wolves: 957%

Seriously, why does this guy always shoot lights out against the Wolves?

I kinda dig this idea but it also means playing Lazar extended minutes. It's a pick your poison type of thing.

Play Shved some SF, make a f&king trade Kahn. I'd toss Roy plus our pick out there.

He needs to make a trade now. We are .500. He can't wait much longer or this ship is going to sink

It's even more surprising that apparently the Wolves are very good at defending the spot up shooter. Although I'm not sure whether that refers to only inside the arc or not. Jim Pete mentioned it tonight that we're among the league best in this regard.

That surely didn't help us tonight.

Edit: although I guess the 2nd number is a typo on your behalf it sure feels like he actually has that kind of three point % against us.

Kind of hard to do when he isn't healthy enough to play.

I'm guessing it's a tough trade market for the Wolves. Everybody and their uncle knows that the Wolves are desperate for scoring.

Portlands bench tends to do that.

Still can't get over that 2nd Q lineup of JJ, Lazar, DW, Lou & Steamer. What was Adelman thinking. Playing 3 D-league scrubs who can't buy a bucket to save their lives plus Williams at SF guarding Matthews. That's senial stuff right there.

Still hope the Clip show goes to work on the Warriors, that's my last chance of basketball happiness tonight. I'm just satisfied that the Wolves didn't give up when they hit a 22 pt lead.

Cunningham did a great job on Aldridge defensively: 14 pts on 7/20 shooting, zero free throws, and outrebounded him as well.

Pek was a$$raping Hickson until he pulled his groin

Too bad Batum, Matthews and their bench scrubs decided to set a record in made threes

Cunningham is wildly underrated. I was a big fan of his when he was with Portland. He looks like he's put a lot of work in and seems to look like he's put a lot of weight on his frame from his days as a Blazers. Good glue guy you got there in Dante. He did a really nice job on Aldridge, this was probably his worst game on the whole road trip, but LA was clutch when it mattered.

..... a$$raping..... classy. Anyhow, yeah, Pek was dominate and pretty much manhandled the Blazers frontline. I would expect Pek to dominate Hickson though, he's got about 4 inches and 70lbs on him. No shock there.

Batum is doing what he's been doing all year. He's Mr. 3rd Quarter. Stotts offense relies a lot on the 3pt shot, so when they're hot, they can get hot quick. It was just one of those nights for Portland.

Of course not. He was playing where he wasn't scared of being benched for any kind of turnover or mistake. Those seem to be his best games. I honestly think RA is killing this kid psychologically. Lee who wasnt nearly as talented was given reign to play through a myriad of mistakes. Don't see DWill getting anything close to that kind of treatment.
