“@Twolves_PR: #Twolves head coach Rick Adelman not with the team this morning due to this personal reasons. His status for tonight is undetermined.”

“@Twolves_PR: .@rickyrubio9 tells us he will play tonight. #Twolves will have Pek & Rubio back in the lineup vs. ATL. Tip @ 7 pm on @fsnorth & @wccoradio.”

Robson on the conflict between Adelman and Williams.

Anyone else feel like Adelman is taking a mental health day and maybe regretting his decision to come to MN?

No. That seems highly speculative.

Adelman missed the practice yesterday, too. Hope it isn't anything too serious.

Adelman is dying of a broken heart. I was thinking this was going to be about Rubio playing again.

Another streak to break:

“@WolvesRadio: Last win for #twolves vs. #hawks? April 9, 2006 84-83, rookie Rashad McCants career-high 28pts & Trenton Hassell w/ game-winner w/ 1.9 left.”

Beef N cheddar 3 for 5? not bad. I remember not a few years ago when they semi-regularly had the 5 for 5 coupons. damn inflation.

Interesting article, if a bit one-sided. I can see both sides. Cunningham is playing well enough to keep his spot, but Williams has been playing well enough to earn more PT than he has been getting the past couple of months. And he has been a good soldier about the lack of PT, at least publicly (unlike last year's "caged lion" tweet). If he cut out those hair-pullingly awful circus layups it would be easier to play him.

I agree that he is simply too damn talented to sit, especially if hot garbage like amundson and ridnour are taking his minutes (3-guard lineup with shved @ SF, Williams should be in over ridnour there).

He needs 25 minutes minimum with Love out.
This isn't a Wes Johnson or Corey Brewer two left feet situation.
And it's also a long-term quesiton that needs to be answered, because we have 2 1/2 years left of Kevin Love before the S hits the F. It would be nice to know we had a capable replacement.

I like the article. Yea, Williams has a lot of issues the article didn't get into and I can see why Adleman's dislikes his game but Adleman can't be riding him 24/7. Give the kid some encouragement and work with him as much as possible. Adleman is a great coach and great coaches need to find ways to use players to their best of their abilities. Williams has been improving and hopefully he keeps doing that all season.

It sounds Williams has been putting in a lot of work with the assistant coaches, and it's starting to pay off, especially with the improved outside shooting. You gotta love the gym-rat attitude.
