Not that the Wolves don't like Gay, but the source indicated that finding a big man is the more pressing priority.

That's because All-Star Kevin Love could be lost for the season after re-fracturing the third metacarpal bone in his right hand last week.

It's also possible Love's New York City doctor will advise against surgery. But if surgery is necessary, Love will be gone for a minimum of three months, the source said.

The source said there's a far better likelihood than not that some sort of trade happens. The deadline is Feb. 21.

I believe the healing time on hand surgery is only minimally longer than without surgery. Maybe this part of the hand is more difficult to operate on.

With MEM wanting to blow it up, might little Gasol be an option? A resigned Pek at his max would be similar salary as Gasol, but people don't think Pek will get the max. So that saves them money.
