With MEM wanting to blow it up, might little Gasol be an option? A resigned Pek at his max would be similar salary as Gasol, but people don't think Pek will get the max. So that saves them money.

No. Marc is the only untouchable player in Memphis. MEM is not blowing it up, just exploring ways to remain under the lux while staying competitive. Speights could be an option though, and he's more than capable of playing as PF and C.
