Sorry! One day closer to health, I guess?

I hear Pek and Shved didn't get on the plane though. :(

Pek was expected to miss 7-10 days (~5 games) so that is no surprise. I wish they would say something about Shved, though. Haven't really heard anything on expected return for him.

I'm a fan. This guy pulls off 2-3 highlights a game and still looks like a guy with solid knowledge of the foundations of the game. Very interesting combo of skills, iq and athletiscism so far.

I want to see him on the court with Rubio more, and, once he comes back, with Shved. Those two guys are much more likely to find CJ for oops or nice passes that Barea won't do and can't do.

That said, I think I'd be happy with keeping Chris Johnson for the rest of the season. His good things include athleticism and curling towards the basket well to receive a pass, and that may be enough for now. When Pek is back, I could see Johnson sticking as the #2/#3 back-up center (a position we definitely need to improve).

As for Lou Amundson, I really expected a lot more out of him. I heard nothing but good things from fans of his previous teams, and I expected a Tolliver-like willingness to mix it up, even with limited skills. I thought maybe we're getting an NBA vet would can help some of our younger players, but if that's happening, I'm missing it.

I don't think we'd need to waive Amundson though. On a vet min deal, I imagine one of his previous teams, like IND or PHX, would take his contract off our hands.

I agree with all of that, but if we don't waive him, then who do we get rid of? Gellabale?

Amundson is the weak link. Don't overthink the obvious.

Trade Lou for cash and sign Gelabale and Johnson for the rest of the year.

@joshvanklomp
@DarrenWolfson By my count, the 10-day guys have played their last games on their deals. Where do we go from here?

‏@DarrenWolfson
@joshvanklomp I fully expect both to stay. I won't be surprised to see Amundson go to the Sixers or Knicks for a 2nd round pick.

+1

But in a year they will be looking to the league just like we did with Martell when they find out that we hid the fact that Lou can no longer contribute to a basketball team.

I would willingly give up a 2nd just to get rid of Lou. To get one back for him would be awesome.

Some French and Spanish media are saying Johnson and Gelabale have signed until the end of the season.

Trade soon?

Me too. Just getting someone to take his salary would be good.

Porter doesn't play Johnson enough minutes at all. The guy makes something positive happen every time he's out there
