if Adelman retires, the D-will trade and Bud signing will look bad. And Im curios if what Martin thinks about it

I'm still not on the fire Adelman bandwagon. Guy has issues and needs to be more flexible but I don't think replacing right now is the best alternative. However, we probably would get that boost every team gets when they make a coach change and it could possibly put us in the playoff picture.

I guess the only way I would okay an Adelman firing right now is if

A. This wouldn't cause a negative reaction out of Love

and

B. We had an ideal candidate ready to step in and takeover.

Only way we keep Love

1. Somehow make the playoffs this year and show some promise for the future.

2. Don't make the playoffs but have the best offseason in Timberwolves history which leads to an epic run in 2014-15.

Neither is likely at this point.

We really don't know what Love is thinking. Only rumors and speculation says he wants out. He could have his mind made up already or his preference could be to stay. Flip has a better idea than us and I hope he responds accordingly to do whatever he can to keep Love here and make this team compete.

People complain that this team is soft and I think it starts with our coach. Players like Love and Martin would be ripped to shreds by coaches if they played in SAS or Chicago for their defensive effort.

Doogie and Zgoda both say Flip would take over as coach and I think Love would be OK with that, particularly if they start playing better.

This team is build around Adelman, he wanted players that played for him before like Martin and Budinger. He wanted players that fit his system, a bizarre system in my opinion. We all know that it just isn't working.
Next year will be the final experiment because of Love's contract.
I also believe Flip will be the coach next year. It is difficult to make big changes because of the lack of assets.
So maybe with new coach, new system, maybe a few changes in the bench things will improve.
We are one of 3 teams that are huge disappointments. CLE, DET, MIN.
CLE is a mess. Irving is pouting, he wants out.
If CLE thinks he won't resign maybe Rubio + Pek for Irving + Varesao isn't out if reach. What you guys think?

There are worse options out there than Flip taking over as the HC but I'd rather we brought in fresh but proven blood (Hollins, Karl, one of the Gundys) or take a chance on one of Popovich's assistants.

I vote for Stan, he'll bring a defensive mindset and let Rubio be the artist instead of a robot

I like Basti's idea about one of Popovich's assistants. We have lot of undeveloped players. Example Rubio's shooting, Love's defense, Martin's transition 3s, team defense etc. I don't know if a proven coach will want to put the time and effort to resolve these issues.

He was honestly a top 10 talent in the 2012 draft. If we did get Hoiberg that could be a steal. He would essentially be a secondary ball handler at power forward.

No...

Just no.

I'd be surprised if any team would take another chance on Royce.
