And don't think that that's what that tweet is saying.

It's saying that once Bosh and Melo sign elsewhere, then Chicago will jump back on the Love trade wagon (which we already know). And, in a separate thought, Russillo is speculating that Parsons will get between 12 and 14 million.

That also doesn't point to a 3-team trade with Love going to Chicago and Parsons coming to Minnesota, though.

It's just pointing out that if Houston strikes out on Bosh, they'll likely try to trade for Love (which we already know).

No it doesn't specifically but there are a couple possibilities that may or may not come together as a three-team deal.

I just noticed that was pointed out already ;)

I'm not trying to make this stuff easy, you follow the tweet and look around a bit :P
Maybe you end up in the Bulls forum where they go on at length about these things ;)

I don't think Varejao will be part of it, it works numbers wise, but I think they want him to stay there. Especially since they sent Zeller to Boston today. They wouldn't have a center on the roster...

Big questions for me: should we really keep Pek after Love trade?
1) he has massive contract and fragile legs
2) he is not best option when you have run and gun style offense
3) Dieng progress

Personally I'd trade him to get good PF, since I don't like Tristan Thompson limited offensive game

Pek for Millsap, Bazemore
Martin, Barea for Nash

Dieng/Turiaf/???
Millsap/TT/Mbah
Brewer/Shabazz/GR3
Wiggins/Bazemore/Shved
Rubio/Nash/LaVine

Next summer reassamble team around Dieng-Wiggins-Rubio-LaVine core. With ~25 mil expring we can rebuild quickly, we can try to offer Klay Thompson or Kenneth Faried new contract.

Pek does not have a massive contract, 12m is reasonable, and he's the best center we've ever had. Also, Centers are never as durable as other players due to their size.

I think trading him is a bit silly. There is nothing wrong with having 2 guys who are actually good at the same position. All 3 of our centers make $15 million combined, that's just fine.

So resigning Wes Johnson has some Laker fans now thinking they can compete for 5th-8th seed.

I'd like to see the wolves go after jsmith in det. Expirings and a first. Ignoring love situation looks like a solid move

J.Smith has negative value. DET should attach couple 1st just to trade his contract. The only team that might take him is SAC who likes to gamble with huge contracts (see Rudy Gay).

JR Smith or J-Smoove? Neither of them. But we should go after Shump for sure.

I'm wondering if we keep Love then maybe Flip has some other real blockbuster trade scenario? It makes sense. Like go all-in for Eric Gordon while get rid of Martin, Budinger, or get back KG etc.

I don't think it makes sense. It might make sense to Flip though. Realistically, I think this team's only shot of convincing Love to stay in MN would be at least a trip to the Western Conference Finals. There is no foreseeable way to make that happen this year. Even catching lightning in a bottle, it's still very unlikely, and the risk is too high to consider it.

Option A) Swing a deal to get new starter-caliber players around Love...who knows what we would have to give up to make this happen...all for a shot to possibly make it deep into playoffs.
If we don't do well enough...our best offer for Love is now a S&T to the team Love hand-picks where we get a bunch of late 1st round picks and a TPE.

Option B) Move him now if we can somehow get a piece that doesn't make the trade look like a total loss. Odds are we keep fighting for Wiggins until the very end.

Option C) Keep the bidding war going to the trade deadline. Also risky as injuries are more possible, and those young players may look even more untouchable, just as Love's production could slide.

I think Option B is the most safe, and the best chance we have at retaining a special player a year from now.

How fair would a Pekovic for Millsap deal be for both sides? Atlanta gets to move Horford back to his more natural PF position, while Minnesota gets a more adequate replacement for Love than Bennett will be.

Its very close. If Atlanta wants to prolong Horford's career they need to put him at PF
But i want to see Pek and Millsap together
If we can create cap space for next summer,Millsap should be the target

Horford/Pekovic on East is like insta 4th seed to me. And a good sallary dump, but Millsap contract is out next season, but a season of MillsapDieng can be really rewarding.
