Trade Pek for a backup PF, perhaps a Pek to New Orleans (Gordon) +1st + 2nd to Philly (Young and Sims) to Minny trade? And get Young and Sims for Pek?

Rubio / Payton
LaVine / Muhammed
Butler / Brewer
Payne / Moute
Pekovic / Dieng

Picks tend to get overrated this time of year and i think you are overestimating their impact level here. If you go by last year's picks at 13, 16, 19, and 24 this is what you get:

Kelly Olynik, Lucas Noguiera, Sergey Karasez, and Tim Hardaway Jr.

Not bad honestly, Olynyk is someone we'd probably get in Celtics trade (and either keep as backup or start) and Hardaway Jr. wasn't too bad in NY and played way more minutes and exceeded expectations. Noriega never came over. So I guess the only really block was Kasarev. And he only played few minutes cause Brown liked Delladova better. I get your point though. I still think Payton and LaVine are amazing to be NBA players. Maybe I'm jaded.

It's pretty bad. Olynik and Hardaway were able to put up respectable numbers, but overall they were a liability to the team and wouldn't have played if NYK had any depth whatsoever and BOS was actually trying to win games. Noguiera probably will flame out, but realistically won't see minutes for awhile. Karasev spent time in the D-League and it wouldn't shock me to see Lavine and Payton spend some time there as well.

If you go back another year, this is what you would have had:

Kendall Marshall
Royce White
Andrew Nicholson
Jared Cunningham

You are comparing one of the deepest drafts in recent years (2014) to one of the worst drafts ever (2013). And yes, even before last year's draft people were saying the same thing.

Fine, go find the deepest draft of all time and see what those picks did in their rookie years.

In that respect Klomp let's pull out the 1996 NBA draft :)

#13 Kobe
#14 Peja
#15 Nash
#16 O'Neal
#19 Walter Mc'Carthy
#24 Derek Fisher

Worked out long term. But see the rookie impact of 13, 16, 19, 24.

No, but you are expecting all of them to play in the rotation and two of them to start, which would be a huge tank job and get any coach and GM canned after a year.

If we trade love aren't we in tank mode anyway?

I really hope not. There doesn't appear to be any franchise players in the 2015 draft so we'd be losing for the sake of losing.

Especially since we are all well aware that even with the worst record in the league, the Wolves would end up getting screwed and dropping in the lottery, and then probably pick the wrong player anyway.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

Can Wes Johnson re-enter the draft next year so we can draft him again?

Really? Jahlil Okafor, Karl Towns, Cliff Alexander, Justise Winslow, etc. Next year's draft looks like it will be really good.

Thrilling. In that case let's trade Rubio and Pek and kiss the 2014-15 season goodbye! So long sponsors! So long season ticket holders! Games on tv? Who needs them! Hey, maybe the state can still get back that stadium money so Taylor can still sell the team and move it to Seattle? One can only dream...
