Last year I was really disappointed with picking Shabazz and happy with Dieng. Both did better than expected.

This year I am disappointed with picking LaVine and happy with GRIII. Getting so much value from #40 give me a good feeling though. That pick keeps me positive :)

Markel brown is a good pick for Brooklyn at #44...I think we should have kept that pick...we should have took at PF first round even if they were back up & why the hell take big dog III when we got shabazz??? Damn you timberwolves...looking really khanesque

What a load of ****. Even if he was telling the truth(which he's not)why can't he look at them as assets rather than players. People may say, "Well they are just 2nd rounders" I'm sorry but no, when you are a small, hard to sell market you better get every drip of production from every asset. So disappointed that this crap continues.

Dam wtf wolves sold the 2 picks? The f***? Didn't they sell off Chandler Parsons and Mirotic too?

Does that money go straight into Taylor's pockets?

Teams rumored to be interested in Love: Warriors (Lee), Bulls (Gibson), Nuggets (Faried), Celtics (Sullinger/Olynyk), Rockets (Jones).

We will be fine. We'll have a power forward or two on our roster by the time our season starts.

Even if we don't trade Love for a PF, just give Gorgui a shot at PF next to Pek. See how it works out, if not. Oh well, then you still have two good centers.

I really wish we would have taken Hardaway Jr last year so they could have been teammates again :)

If selling later round picks is the right thing to do, why are we basically the only franchise that does it draft after draft?

No I don't. Come on, you know that first quote is a generic sell out. It's concerning to think about Saunders actually personally profiting off the sale of these picks as he owns part of the team which is a conflict of interests. It has happened many times before which makes me think it's Taylor. For the record I was very happy with his first two picks but it's just so Timberwolves to squander away assets for absolutely nothing. I'd rather have an owner who is a fan and competitor rather than running a business.

I wont know if I am upset or happy until interviews and summer league. Its a big blow the sensitive Minnesota ego if Lavine was really like ***** me though. WE can handle that crap right now lol.

In all likelihood, so few 2nd rounders pan out that selling off the picks probably won't matter. That being said, as a fan obviously I would have rather had them hold the rights to both players and let them play overseas for a couple years just in case they do turn into something.

Considering we sold 2 second rounders, I'm going to assume that there is no way we are signing an undrafted free agent, but three guys I'd love to at least get an invite for our summer league roster: DeAndre Kane, Melvin Ejim and Deonte Burton.
Thriving on mediocrity since '89.

Lavine will be in the dunk contest next year. At least we have that to look forward to.

For the record I love the first two picks(literally couldn't be happier with Lavine) and to clarify I couldn't care less if the players don't pan out, what I care about is the message it sends about how committed they really are. If you are cutting corners and cheaping out in a small market you are not going to get very far. Pin international guys on the board and throw a dart for all I care, just tell your fans you're trying. Last I'll say on the subject.

This franchise is pathetic. 2 more sold draft picks. again. what a middle finger to anyone who pays money to watch this **** show. Successful franchises dont pull this kind of crap once, nevermind year after year. No wonder we are a laughingstock around the league and players mutter "f-me" when we draft them.

We drafted the biggest numbskull in the entire draft with the bbiq of a half eaten ham sandwich, but got to give the kid some credit at least he knows what a pathetic operation he is going to. But hey his agent is Bill Duffy (as is bazz's), who knows what we'd get if we tried to draft outside the country club. Kid wants to be here, cuz Bill Duffy sayz so, he's in the club, must be true.

And worst of all we didnt move Love. Boston offer? dead. Chicago offer: dead. #11 in Den offer: dead. 14+18 from Phx? dead. ATL? dead.
Leverage: peaked and diminishing daily. Good luck with your Love trade Flip hope you have plenty of lube lying around. Maybe you just want to parade him out 41 more times so the fans can rip into him and forget for a little bit what a sorry job ownership and management have done with this franchise.

But hey at least we got a guy for the d-league dunk contest and a 4th string SF out of this draft. So many more reasons for Rubio and Love to stay. I mean this franchise is so great we don't need to make our 2nd round picks, it's just too unfair to the rest of the league. What a bunch of BS from Flip. Couldn't move for a future 2nd? In this deep of a draft? Of course they could have, they just wouldnt have gotten any MONEY out of it.
