I wish I hadn't seen George's injury. That was horrible. Poor guy. I wish him the best and a full recovery.

hmmm...still got 4 more cuts before the roster is locked, right? Roster as it stands still has Curry, Lillard and Rose.
Thriving on mediocrity since '89.

Where did it say "Kyrie made the team over Wall because of the Duke connection"?

Thats what I was doubting, not that he'd make the team.

You didn't, i just expressed my opinion about Kyrie vs Wall situation.Nothing malicious.Turns out i might've been right about it while you were uncertain about will it factor in.My opinion is that Wall would've been better fit because of his defense and playmaking ability. With Irving,Curry,Harden,Lilard its just too much defensive holes in backcourt. But still no matter which roster USA brings they would be gold medal favorites, there is just too much talent.

Sergio Rodriguez will play a huge part in potential success for the spanish national team this tournament. The skinny and young point guard who warmed the bench for the Blazers in the past but showed glimpses of pure talent. If you recall this guy was even flashier than Ricky Rubio (several games with 8 assists in a quarter alone being an european rookie reserve point guard is just insane). He returned to Europe and is now arguably within the top3 of PG's playing in Europe if not the best one. He's in his prime right now and some pieces have been written in the past few months about a possible return to the NBA. If it turns out that way he could be a very, very decent asset for a lot of teams.

Euroleague MVP

Not to mention the rest of the players, including the NBA's:

Calderon (Knicks), Rubio (Wolves), Claver (Blazers), Pau (Bulls), Marc (Grizzlies), Ibaka (Thunder)

The former NBA's (like Sergio):

Navarro (Grizzlies), Rudy (Wolves/Nuggets)

And the draftees:

Llull (Rockets), Abrines (Thunder).

11 out of 12 spanish players are connected to the NBA somehow. The only one who doesn't is Felipe Reyes, a legend of spanish basketball.

He's playing in a completely different scheme though with confident players around him. Looks great.

The Tall Blacks(David Brent - "Racial") have been surprisingly competitive in their warm up matches losing by 6, 6 and 4 to Slovenia, Lithuania and Serbia in games that could have easily gone the other way if turnovers were limited. Got blown out by Greece but I'm surprised they have made these games interesting against some good Euro teams.

That can only be a good thing. Jack up his trade value!

He's still had a few bad JJ moments.

It looks like Faried bulked up a bit. He and Millsap are my favorite FA next summer.

I had no idea Gorgui was playing at the world cup. Will be cool to see how he goes.

Barea is literally an all-star when playing against the Rockets.

He's already played against Rubio in one of the warmups and played pretty well.

The start of the World Cup in under a week signals the beginning of the end of the NBA offseason.

The World Cup goes until mid-September, when we'll be just 2-3 weeks out from the start of training camp.

Nice game from our spaniard, 3/4 FG, the miss was a contested lay up from the right and all 3 mades was mid range jumpers, same form, kind of flat, but the jump itself a little higher. maybe he is really improved his physical conditioning, flashy pases, ally ups and wonderfull handles as usual.

I recommend to watch the game, it's a thing of beauty the game Spain is displaying, tomorrow I'll post a link.
