Ultimately, I like the comparison to a more athletic Crawford. I don't think the Kobe comparisons (at the same age) are far-fetched either.

Way more athletic, way more.

Lavine is a tough comparison. Maybe somewhere between a Westbrook and Sprewell offensively.

What you guys fail to point out is that these prospects are super young. Keep in mind Kobe averaged 9 pts a game at the age of 19.
LaVine: Stephen Curry(superatheltic) / Jason Williams (late career)

Wiggins: Pippen / Wes Johnson

Shabazz: James Worthy/ Adam Morrison

Dieng: Mutumbo/ Hasheem Thabeet

I think Lavine will be better than Westbrook..

He's athletic. LaVine may be the 2nd, 3rd most athletic guard in the league.

I don't think I am. We're talking about athleticism.

LaVine is pretty damn athletic, and he's long. Rose and Westbrook are the only guards that come to mind as being more athletic, and he's much longer than both of them, but not nearly as strong.

He's not much longer. Westbrook has the same standing reach.

He's 2 inches taller anyway, and appears to have longer arms....that could be just because of being so thin I suppose.

I think it's been reported that Westbrook grew a couple of inches once in the league. He's huge.

Some of these worst cases are pretty optimistic. Worst case is a very mediocre player who cant contribute. Worst case is someone who will be out of the league.

:falloff:

Man, that dude really went off a cliff! How the hell did he even become a basketball player? by being 7 feet tall? Ah another Isiah Thomas blunder.

But let's roll the dice on every player:

Lavine: Westbrook light/Telfair
Wiggins: Vince Carter/Corey Brewer or Gerald Green
Bennett: Larry Johnson or Charles Barkley(I kid! no one will ever come close to him!)/worse version of Kwame Brown
Glenn Robinson III: Ariza or poor man's Leonard/I don't know. To me, the dude doesn't seem like he has enough of a mean streak like his old man. I'd give him a shot.
Muhammad: Nick Young/Nick Young! Yea I went there!
Dieng: Poor man's Mutombo/Desagana Diop

That's all I got

Lavine - Kobe
Wiggins - Kobe of SF's
Bennett - Kobe of fat, undersized PF's
GR3 - Kobe of 3 and D guys
Dieng - Kobe of centers

Hope that clears some things up.

I'm looking forward to a lineup of Pistol Pete/Jordan/Dr. J/Oliver Miller/Mutumbo

Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
