He's so dreamy. Hopefully he becomes more consistent with that new jumper of his.

If only Fegan demands 7 digits only..
Oh well hopefully Rubio gets extended soon so that there's no more drama and just play

So...I've ran preseason numbers for Ricky.

11/29 on midrangers 37%
8/12 at the rim. 66%
1/4 on threes
0/1 on heaves

those numbers should freak Wolves fans out. 29 midrange shots and only 4 3;s? Flip's gotta change that midrange system of his. Trying to turn Rubio into a 2 point jumpshooter is by far the worst way to develop him

Ricky can't pull up for a three, so...who's there opening a lane and passing him for an open 3? Klove was the one doing this but without Klove, we have no one that can create a shot besides Ricky and Mo.

if 64% of your shots are midrange shots, that's not a good idea for anyone other then an elite shooter, much less for a guy who is a very bad shooter whose confidence can be sapped pretty quick

I agree. His shooting woes hid his other weakness which was finishing at the rim. I said before that I rather see him improve his FG near the basket first. His shot will come especially with Penberthy now onboard.
I think we need maybe 10 games before arguing if Flip's offense takes too many long two's and if that will or will not result to wins
He forgot to add Rubio's free throws. He was aggressive, getting free throws and making them

I find the opening gif to be... disturbing, to say the least.

Ricky is almost never in catch-and-shoot situations now, and he isn't going to shoot pull-ups from that deep. I would guess that a lot of PGs show numbers like that. Now if you're SG, SF, etc show those ratios, then you're in trouble.

The Wolves have enough guys on the court that try threes, The Last thing Rubio needs is to become another perimeter shooter. Work on his hoop skills, which he has improved on, then when he attacks the rim, ala Jason Kidd, defenders will actually crash to him, and he can hit anyone else on the team for the open three. The absolute LAST thing I would do is make him shoot three -point shots.

Check out these two videos.

If you don't see that Ricky's shot looks night and day from previous years, you need your eyes checked.

He is still maturing physically, most ppl forget because it's the NBA, but most guys aren't done developing physically until 25 years old.

I couldn't really put on muscle until after I was 25.

Kemba Walker apparently just signed a 4 year/$48 mil extension with the Hornets. That probably sets the market for Rubio (whose extension deadline is Friday).

Rubio is a significantly better player than Walker, so I wouldn't expect anything less than 4 years/$52+ mil.

They are reportedly very close to a deal

Not 4/48 but not a max either.. Seems like it's around 4/60 but let's wait
