Playing the what-if game!

Post#1 » by guest81 » Mon Oct 27, 2014 9:44 pm

Just thought of a fun idea for a thread. Just throw out a what-if and give your thoughts on how you think things would of played out differently. Feel free to add your own but here are some of my what-ifs

1.What if the Wolves had decided to keep Kevin Love this year?

2. What if the Wolves had hired Dave Joerger?

3. What if the Wolves hired Don Nelson instead of Rick Adelman?

4. What if the Wolves had drafted Curry instead of Flynn?

5. What if the Wolves pulled a Cavs and somehow wound up with a top 3 pick?

1.What if the Wolves had decided to keep Kevin Love this year?

Fans would've been on suicide watch for the following summer

2. What if the Wolves had hired Dave Joerger?

He or Blatt would've been an excellent choice. Doubt any of them would've changed Love's mind to stay.

3. What if the Wolves hired Don Nelson instead of Rick Adelman?

We could've been worse or the same as we were with RA. Hindsight: Pick your poison.

4. What if the Wolves had drafted Curry instead of Flynn?

Obviously that would've changed things for the better. However, with Kahn still in charge of the following drafts after '09, we still would've struggled to put talent around them.

5. What if the Wolves pulled a Cavs and somehow wound up with a top 3 pick?

If we move up, would that have altered the Cavs luck by moving up?

Anyways, assuming the Cavs still get the 1st pick and we get 3rd, you still make that Love trade and pair the two Jayhawks together.

What if Calvin had never been suspected in carrying out the Noodle Incident?

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

What if Kevin Love did the trade drama only to make the team better and then signs with us next season?

IFFF that were the case, he should have told the wolves to keep the first rd pick from Miami instead of trading it for Thad Young.

He has burnt a few bridges, not that LeBron didn't, but LeBron is a lot better of a player than Love so I don't think the Wolves community would be so warm in his homecoming.

The biggest "what if" in Timberwolves history: What if Sam Cassell never gets hurt in the playoffs?

Well, that's not really a what if. If Cassell doesn't get hurt, I KNOW the Wolves win it all that year.

considering KG was playing good chunks of point guard and still took the Lakers to 7, I'd say it was a good bet on beating the Lakers. The Pistons would of been an interesting series. They would of matched up pretty well against the Wolves. I would of said Wolves in 7

I think we pushed the Lakers to 6, not 7, but your point still stands considering KG was the only player capable of bringing the ball up the court without getting ripped after Cassell couldn't go anymore. Freakin' Darrick Martin was the PG for much of that series.

And I agree, that the Pistons would've given us a fight, but I think we would've won. Chauncey vs Cassell and Ben Wallace vs KG would've been fun, but that was our year. If we stayed healthy, we would've found a way to win it.

What if the lottery didn't exist? Shaq time in Minny baby!
What if Harv and Marv sold the team to the New Orleans group?
What if KG was a bust?
What if Flynn's hip never broke?
What if Pekovic didn't have any tattoos?
What if God was one of us? Just a slob like one of us?

What if we kept Ridnour and traded Barea last year?

Freakin' Kareem Rush lol....we still were in a good spot to win that series if he hadn't gone off like that. If we got it back to Target for another Game 7, who knows.

Instead of about 80% of this board's posters being on constant suicide watch only Vindicator would have been,

Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
