I just hate the tanking and Flip's decisions.

We'll win some games as well as soon as the anti tank commanders return. I dont have much hope that we can finish worse than Philly and NY

You think if we win few games Flip won't find excuses to give players DNPs?
You think if we win few games he won't trade for peanuts Thad, Martin etc? Before you say yeah trade Thad for anything he is terrible, imagine Bennett playing 35mins.
I am for trades if they give us something in return. Lot's of teams are desperate.
He wants to secure top2 pick by any means. Okafor or Towns. That's the plan. I hate the plan. I HATE the plan.

I think Pekovic is untradeable before the deadline. And we won't give up assets to move Thad either.
So realistically it's only Martin who could be traded.

I don't think we'd have to move assets to deal Thad

We don't need to trade anyone to tank. We'd have to go on a significant run to even get to 25 wins. We're bottom 5 guaranteed, and to get Okafor or Towns we have to get top 3. Basically we're going to need some luck no matter how bad we are.

Just for people to get an idea of what has to be done to move down past No. 3 in the lottery odds.

If the Lakers (current No. 4 pick) finish the season with same winning percentage as they currently have, they would finish with 26 wins.

For us to pass them, we would have to finish the season 22-25.

Unfortunately we must end top2.
I doubt Mudiay will play another game until draft (something like Exum) and i can't see PHI or NY picking him over Okafor/Towns.

Teams with multiple picks as possible trade-down options:

Boston: Has own and LAC 1st. Could also trade us back our pick, which Phoenix just traded them.
Chicago: Has own and could have SAC 1st.
Los Angeles: Own if top-5 and HOU 1st.
Phoenix: Own and Lakers 1st (if 6-30)

Boston and LA are probably the 2 legitimate trade down options. Chicago and Phoenix will probably be drafting farther down than we want to fall.

I can definetley see the 76ers taking Mudiay. MCW is a joke

If we happen to have he 3rd pick and Towns and Okafor are gone, what about trading Mudiay for Embiid?

Rubio LaVine
Wiggins LaVine
Shabazz GR3
Bennett Dieng
Embiid Dieng

Mudiay MCW
McDaniels
Saric
Noel
Okafor/Towns

Knicks have to take a big.
I see philly taking a pg cuz they have to develop two bigs already
Which screams we will get a big.

Which we won't complain about. That's what we need is a center and a pg. so if mudiay ends being our best option, why not? Mo is going away. And we need a back up point so lavine isn't forced to always play point. I'm actually ok with this draft since it's our year to be top three and the best pick available actually fits our needs.

If we draft a backup PG in the top-3, it'd be David Kahn-Derrick Williams 2.0

knicks have a very easy schedule for pretty much the rest of the season. i still expect them to finish with the worst record, but i'll keep an eye on them.

We won last game agains Indiana.
Philly won today again.

Same thing, 2 game cushion on them (Philly) and now is 6 games on everyone else.

We can't stop the Knicks.

I think the Lakers are in full on tank mode. I wouldn't be shocked if the only ended up with 16 or 17 wins. Their roster, sans Kobe, is horrendous. Could easily see us passing them once were healthy.

I really believe that the Wolves will have a .500 record or better during the remaining games once Rubio and Martin return to the court and Pek plays 15 minutes per game.

I also believe that the Lakers will go full tank after the all-star break. My guess is that we'll finish the season with the 5th worst record but also end the season with a bunch of Ws too.
