Re: The KG Thread
Awesome. It'd be great if he can play 50-60 games and give a solid 10-15 mpg. I know that's hoping for a lot, but it was really disappointing to not see him on the court the final couple months....but from a good side of that, it allowed the young pups to find their own way.
KG will be a good tool in helping the transition to Thibs. KG was a huge fan of Thibs back in their Boston time together.
How awesome would it be to see 1) the Wolves back in the playoffs and 2) KG a part of the Wolves being back in the playoffs?

Re: The KG Thread
Given what some of the Bulls fans have said about Thibs liking to roll with defense heavy starting 5s, what are the odds that KG starts at the 4 for the early part of next season? Playing limited minutes still obviously.

Probably near 100% that KG will start whenever his legs let him play.

I'd be perfectly fine with it, but then again, I was one of the only ones who was fine with it this year.

Yeah, I was fine with it too for the record haha.
I think an opening 5 of Rubio, Lavine, Wiggy, KG and Towns would be pretty well balanced on both sides of the ball to be honest, obviously I'm assuming there that we don't land anything of note in FA, which might not be the case.

I imagine Thibs will sign Deng and split minutes at PF between him, KG, and Gorgui.

Dieng, KAT, Bjelica and Deng. Ideally we should add one physical player like Greg Smith to give some hard work to various DeAndre Jordan, Drummond, Gasol.

Re: The KG Thread
I heard on a couple of podcasts that KG shut it down so early to save his body for the last season, cause he wants to retire as a rotational player on a playoff team. And if Kander can work his magic with him, that's possible.

Maybe that's where the back channel contact with Thibodeau was happening during the season.
Kevin's last game was January 23. This report came out February 11. I'm just sayin'.

Re: The KG Thread
I think KG will help a lot with the Thibs introduction. Some of the young pups may be scared off by Thibs' intensity a little bit or lack of playing time, but KG has their respect already and know what Thibs is like.

I think Thibs will be the coach of Towns' dreams.

This was an interesting little bit from that article:
Regarding his own future, with one year left on his Wolves contract valued at $8 million and his 40th birthday looming next month, Garnett told ESPN.com: "I pride myself on being loyal. I think I've proven that by coming back home to finish my career. I need to see how the next few weeks turn out to truly understand if everyone has that same loyalty. Then I will know what my future holds."
Not sure what KG s referring to there unless it has something to do with the Mitchell stuff.
