Since he's been out, I dont think I've seen him on the bench since February or early March?

It's been like 2 or so weeks. Dude should be in the hospital if he's sick that long

They said in one of the broadcasts that he prefers to watch the games from the lockerroom if he isn't dressing for the game.

To be fair, they said he would improve the locker room. Maybe always being in there is a good thing

Better 5-game stint with the Wolves: KG or Brandon Roy?

Even if he only played 5 games, his comeback game was the best Wolves game in 10 years.

The correct answer: We're tanking.

The only reason Martin gets to occasionally play is so we can boost his trade value in the off season.

I'm not entirely convinced we're trading Martin. If Flip wants to try to be competitive next year there's a good chance we'll keep him. Of course given how poorly his attempt to be competitive went this year, he may go for a different approach.

I think he's suggesting that having him almost as an extra coach on the bench when he's out of the game was a big reason why Flip brought him in, so he could give advice to the young guys during the game. He can't really do that if he's kicking back in the locker room.

Correct. Right now I don't think he could be the more opposite of what we were told he was brought in for. Let's face it, the real reason he was brought in is to get the next ownership team in place

Probably. He's still practicing with the guys and mentoring in the lockerroom and shootarounds, etc., just isn't sitting on the bench during games. At least according to Jim Pete. But, yeah, a main reason for getting him was probably to grease the wheels.
