Wiggins will be our main wing defender. LaVine and Bazz will get better defensively as well. Adding Towns, Rubio and KG all season will boost all of these guys defensive numbers from last year. Easy to look bad when your bigs are young, can't protect the rim, rebound or defend the pick and roll.

I never said I want us to to tank. In fact, I explicitly said it's something we won't do.

Hopefully at some point but probably not until Martin leaves. Wiggins will be a very good defender and is already good (better than his basic stats imply). Rubio is a top notch perimeter defender, too. The team does have at least one good defender at each position except for SG. This is one reason I wanted to keep Lorenzo Brown on the roster, though.

Hmm, I'd think they'd look to make a move sooner with the logjam of bigs they've got. I wonder if a deal based around Bennett or Payne for Jerami Grant would make sense. Philly could definitely use a stretch big to slot alongside Noel or Okafor and Grant is a solid defensive prospect locked up on the cheap with a better than expected long-ball.

I'd do that deal easily. Bennett is probably the odd man out here but he doesn't seem to have much value around the league, either.

I wrote in another thread.

This season will be a success if we are still in the finals hunt at the all-star break.

Not mathematically in with a chance like usual but actually fighting for a spot.

What does Las Vegas say in terms of number of wins this year? I do not know, but probably something aroung 30 or lower... I really hope we could do better tan that but... I can´t see it. Our second unit is horrible in defense. There will allways be some injuries... Hope I´m wrong

As of July 13, it was 25.5

I assuming you mean playoff hunt? I don't think there is a finals hunt at the all-star break.

4 years ago the Warriors had Curry and Klay and tanked to keep their pick at the end of the season, it doesn't appear to have affected their winning culture too badly.

If you are really in the hunt for the playoffs you keep fighting, if you aren't you tank the end of the season to keep your pick anything else is stupid

Considering that the pick is top 12 protected, it's probably going to be tough lose our pick if we're not in the playoff race.

13-14 season we finished 9 games out of the playoffs and picked 13 due to having a better record than every non-playoff team apart from the Suns

We won 40 games that season with Love and Rubio being healthy and the West has only gotten deeper.

Sorry, it is AFL season here in Australia.

Maybe I was just extremely slow to understand how good this team may be, just like I was slow to get on the Towns wagon.

If they keep up the defense, maybe there's something there.....
