Yahoo Fantasy Basketball

Post#1 » by younggunsmn » Sun Oct 18, 2015 2:33 am

Hey Timberwolves fans and basketball fans in general, its that time of year again.

All 3 leagues from last year are returning,
Sorry I am so late in getting to it, I've been really busy.

Looking for returning players and new players both.
Looking to draft all 3 live, next Sunday Oct 25th from 4:30-10 pm.
If we are having trouble filling out leagues I will push the drafts back a week.

Even If you can't make the live draft, you will be able to pre-rank your players
so the autodraft will base it off of those preferences.
Click the links I have provided to join a league.

All leagues are Weekly Lineup Changes.
9 Category Standard
There are generous transaction limits.

Wolve Board League (aka Keeper League)
Invite LInk:
https://yho.com/nba?l=94516&k=130d0c4b0f5b0177&ikey=2e8438832e7535dc
This league is on its 6th year, great bunch of knowledgable people.
Head to Head format, 12 teams
Play 12, 3 bench, one injured spot
Looking for one new player. Hopefully we get everyone back.
Keepers for new team would be Lebron James and Zach Randolph

Please let me know as soon as you can if you wont be able to return.
If you would like to join but the league is full let me know and I will make you an alternate.

Big Timberwolves League
Maximum 20 teams (last year we had 14)
Head To Head format
No keepers
Roster Limits will depend on number of teams.
Looking for new players

Timberwolves Roto Ballers
Maxiumum 14 teams (Had 12 last year)
Rotissirie Scoring
No keepers
Roster Limits will depend on number of teams.

Please sign up if you would like to play.
Feel free to sign up for more than one league.
With weekly lineups it doesnt take up a lot of your time to remain competetive,
but generally you get out of it what you put into it.
If you sign up but the league is full, let me know here and I will mark you down as an alternate on a first come first serve basis.

If it gets to be friday/saturday and we arent close to filling out a league I will push the draft back one week to the following sunday.

i played the H2H. on 10/25 i work and have no intention of making a draft list (that will take forever and not allow me much flexibility). if im lucky, i can swap with a coworker so i can free up my sunday.

10/31 & 11/1 work better for me, but i understand if you can't make it work.

I love fantasy hoops and had my local league disintegrate. If there is room in any of the leagues I'd love to play. The h2h 12 team would be my first choice but I just want to play so I'll take anything (huh, sounds like my Friday night mantra all through my 20's).

Update: Friday Night

Spots reserved for returning teams that haven't responded are now open to anyone wanting to play,
please use the links in the first post to sign in.

Big TImberwolves League: draft 10-25 6 pm CST
Have 13 teams so far, just need an even number to draft.
Sign in if you would like to play, we will try to make it work

Rotoballers (rotoleague). draft 10-25 4:30 pm CST
have 10 teams signed in, ready to draft,
will take up to 4 more teams.

Wolves Board League (Keeper): draft 10-25 8pm CST
10 teams signed in, 2 have not responded.

Longway and Devilz go ahead and sign into that league, I'd appreciate it as that will fill it out.

Here are the 2 teams you are replacing, pick a team, then pick 2 keepers and let me know here or on league message board,
or I will just pick 2 highest rated by yahoo.
Longway you have first choice of teams

Team A:
Harrison Barnes
Andre Drummond
Paul George
Manu Ginobili
Danny Green
Serge Ibaka
Amir Johnson
Courtney Lee
K.J. McDaniels
Ricky Rubio
Jeff Teague
Isaiah Thomas
Klay Thompson
Jonas Valanciunas
Andrew Wiggins

Team B:
Matt Barnes
Andrew Bogut
Jimmy Butler
Tim Duncan
Marcin Gortat
Jeff Green
James Harden
Reggie Jackson
Alex Len
Kawhi Leonard
Paul Millsap
Henry Sims
Donald Sloan
P.J. Tucker
Dwyane Wade

Cpfsf, I'd love to have you play, can understand if you don't want to be handicapped by autodraft, sometimes autodraft does great.
I get real hesitant to start moving around draft dates and times once I set one because people start planning around it, I tried to set for time I thought would be most likely that most people could make.

As long as we can get 2 more for the keeper league I think we should be able to draft all 3 leagues sunday.

Also If you tried to get into the roto league or wolves board league during the week and got a message that the league was full, that was because spots were reserved for returning teams. Should work now if you try to sign in as those spots are no longer reserved.

Also if you were a returning team wanting to play that hasnt signed in yet, please feel free to sign in, you are still welcome to even if I have canceled your reserved spot to try to fill out the league.

Sunday update:

Big Timberwolves League: 14 teams locked in, set to draft on schedule @ 6:00 CST
Timberwolves Roto Ballers: 11 teams locked in, set to draft on schedule @ 4:30 CST

Wolves Board League: 10 teams signed in. Draft set for 8 PM.
At a quandry right now, I have 3 options:

1. Draft with 10, with keeper selections, throwing keepers from 2 deleted teams into the draft pool.
2. Draft with 10, new draft with no keepers, randomized order.
3. Push draft back until next sunday hope i get 2 more teams.

Right now I am leaning towards option 1 as I hate to inconvenience anyone who made plans to draft today.
unless I can get two people to sign in before 6 pm.
If you want to claim one of the 2 teams in the above post (klay thompson + ibaka or harden + kawhi leonard),
feel free to sign in using the link in the first post .
If we only get one team however, I will have to remove your team because we can't draft with an odd number of teams.

Also roster changes, As of now all roster positions are the same as last year
except on Big TW League I removed one forward postion to help with player depth.
I also added one injury postion to each league. You will be able to put an injured player in that spot,
but once that player is healthy you wont be able to add/trade anyone until that player is moved out of the injured slot.
So it enables you to add a player to temporarily replace an injured player.

So for Big TW League here are the postions
PG,SG,G(2)
SF,PF,F(1)
C(1), UTIL (2)
Bench(3)
Injured(1)

For the other 2 Leagues:
PG,SG,G(2)
SF,PF,F(2)
C(2), UTIL (2)
Bench (3)
Injured(1)

Agreed with option 1 for wolves board league unless we can get the 2.
