Wait for the guys to show up and complain that our starting point guard isnt shooting enough, who cares for defense steals and assists

btw no idea what Wiggins was complaing about that was straight up vertical defense.

...and NOW he brings Bjelica, and probably expects him to hit 3 of 3 3's. What a s*** mitchell is.

Man these second half collapses followed by us almost catching up in the last four minutes only to fall short are already way too old. Like every game. Makes me wonder what the discussions at half time are like.

"Guys, remember the last 10 games? How did you feel afterward? It didn't feel good, did it. Mmmmhmmm. Let's make a concerted effort to not do that."

...

Same stuff. I do see improvement in the players generally, but watching Groundhog Day here.

Free throws destroyed us. If it isn't one thing its the other. Really hope we can string some wins together in this next stretch.

I'm really tired of having calls go against us but have to think at this point it's more our naivety than it is negative variance or home biased refs.

Pups played hard tonight, enough to deserve the W.

FTs really let us down.

Lavine isnt clutch. Never makes those shots he took like 20 end of quarter shots now and never makes any.But two people on the planet believe he is the right person to shoot those and thats all that matters.

Those playoff dreams that were so popular two months ago seem like long distant nightmares. Not even flirting with the idea right now. The leap teams have to make to get in the playoffs is huge.

7-FGA for Towns is so little. I dont even know why that still happends.

Wiggins needs to be way smarter than this. And of course, he needs to work on those FTs and his horrible handling.

And Bjelica playing in the 4th quarter only is a thing now.

On the other hand games like this one show what the potential for this team could have been given a decent coach. Playoffs were easily in reach. Easily. Not more, first round exit, but that was absolutely doable. Stubbornness and lack of understanding the dynamics of the game, DURING the actual game, have cost us so often. And much of the problems are still there - wrong guys getting too much playing time and carte blanche when it comes to taking bad shots, defense is played at will. Buddy system. Now think about how long the "FIre Smitch" thread has been out there. There was still plenty of time to correct things. Maybe there still is but who believes anyone will make a move?

I agree that the team has potential but I'm not sure any coach in the world could get us in the playoffs this year. At the most maybe a few guys who are just an absolute perfect fit could pull it off. I certainly wouldn't claim we had a great shot and it would be easy.

The West is weaker, idk.
That 8th spot is still possible for a lot of teams.
