My goodness, this is bad. I can’t believe there are writers getting paid decent money to write stuff THIS BAD.

I've read 100s of columns on BR that were nowhere near as bad as this. And the writer is a big tool. It's like SI just hired some awful blogger whose only regular reader is his mother.

Someone tweeted at him asking about his Rubio for Okafor pitch and if it was a possibility, and his response was: "I have no idea if that would actually be on the table but that said, I'm kinda down"

Like, what kind of writing and reporting is this?

Columnists always have bad fantasy trades. Okafor would be mildly intriguing, but I can think of more reasons not to do it than to do it.

Terrible writing, but those are mostly the teams that everybody can agree that could make great use of Ricky if the Wolves wanted to trade him, with the Spurs being the best fit.

I also think the lack of excitement in Thibs' and Layden's discourse when it comes to Ricky (compared to other players) is what leads so many people to believe he's on his way out, and/or that he's disappointed with the situation. I personally would welcome sensing a bit more thrill when the FO talks about him, and I don't think they give him as much credit defensively as you would expect from someone who loves D as much as Thibodeau, but Ricky is a veteran already and I don't think he cares that much about being patted on the back.

Taylor confirms that trade talks for Rubio were overblown and that Ricky will be on the team to start the season.

Thanks for the link.

For anyone who can't listen to it or just want a summary:

-Glen says teams called about Ricky after we drafted Dunn, but he will be the starting PG of the team.
-Says Dunn will come in the game and bring a different type of player at guard (didn't specifically say PG or SG so I assume both)

Rubio went 3/3 from deep in today's win against Cote D'Ivoire 100-61!

11 points 4/4 FG, 3/3 3PT
8 assists with 3 TOs
6 rebounds
4 steals

On 18 minutes. Solid game from Ricky!

If he keeps this up and plays 36 mpg he'll average a triple double next year: 22 pts, 16 ast, 12 rbs, 8 steals, oh and just a 100% TS%.

GOAT.

Does Rubio always shoot his shots without jumping?

He jumps on his shot, he just doesn't jump very much. Only times he jumps is if he is taking a contested shot, which usually only happens at the end of shot clock.

I thought 3/3 would be great no matter the competition but that shot is horrible. There are literally 2 separate steps in his shot where he jerks it up to his head and after a slight pause, catapults it toward the rim. Shooting should be in one motion with momentum, cmon man.

It is interesting to see how much Rubio will improve his shooting efficiency within offense where Dunn creates open looks by driving and kicking out. Last year Ricky too often was the only ballhandler on the floor. When Wiggins and others created some good looks he hit some spot up shots with confidence last year.
