Yeah and we still dealt with some injuries this season and we've went from 1st pick odds (last year) to 5th (this year), thats called progression. You make it sound like Mitchell just experimented and threw them at their natural positions and it worked, remember this guy was actually in the NBA and Im sure he knows a lot more about basketball and player development than you bud.

Playing in NBA doesn't mean they are gonna be good coach. There only handful basketball players who will make it as a coach. Playing Zach as PG didn't gain anything for him. Now he is still same old Zach, but with lot more confidence because he feels natural in that position. You can make even best players in world look stupid on court if they have to play in wrong position.

Yeah playing in the NBA doesnt make you a head coach automatically but I know for a fact Mitchell knows much more about basketball than many many people on this site. You think its same old Zach doing this, you realize his ball movement, ball control, defensive stance ect have all got better. But Mitchell has nothing to do with this :banghead: ...

10 or so more wins than last year ? really ?

We had 8 healthy bodys last year, Payne was a starter for +20 games.

'Our three young stars are playing as best as they ever have.'

They are playing in their natural positions four months later. What a suprise.

Uh...that's exactly what he did. Or do you have an alternate explanation for LaVine playing 58% of his minutes at PG this season, despite overwhelming evidence saying that was a bad idea?

When you have a player like Zach, who barley played at college you need to expedite the growth in a way. And for Zach, learning PG skills is going to make him a much much better all around SG for the future.

Most people don't want to hear this, but Smitch has gotten better. I think not having Martin, KG, Miller helped him to develop. His rotations are better with a clear S5 and no more veterans to please, also the faster playing style suits the team very well, the team is having fun again, Zach's development is huge, Gorgui is playing smart etc.

I'm not saying let's keep him as a hc but give credit where credit is due.

Knownledge of basketball doesn't equal knowing how to develope young core. Zach has gotten better after he started playing regularly at SG. He has grown to be much more patient and team player since then. He knows his roles and strengths and doesn't try to make play only because his position forces it like it was at PG. His improve in defense has nothing to do position he plays.

Thankfully finally Mitchell managed (or was forced by FA and injuries) to settle down our team. Stop his out of rythm rotations and let them grow together. We got group of hard working players. When you add confindence and stability to that you get improved team. Thats what is showing right now. Now we have to get that to bench and we will improve even more.
