Re: Bosh
Not sure where the Heat and Bosh are at with a buy out or medical retirement, but it would be outrageously dumb to trade for him with his current salary. If he is bought out or waived(whatever) and is willing to play on a deal just for the next year then I would still be pretty surprised if any team is willing to medically clear him and risking his life on the court. Would be an awesome feel good story if he could come back and be healthy and would be an awesome fit skill and talent wise, but that is amount the longest of long shots.

Re: Bosh
His condition scared the crap out of me. If there is any danger I cannot have him on my team. He doesn't need to die over basketball. My brother had a friend die on the court when he was younger and it still haunts him to this day. Now If I knew Bosh was healthy and wasn't in danger. I absolutely would love to see him on out team. Bosh at the and I am pretty much certain we are making the playoffs.
When luck shuts the door skill comes in through the window.

Re: Bosh
It would be insane to acquire Bosh with his health problems. He just failed again for the same problem. He's probably never going to play again, no matter how much he dislikes it. It's not like "He might get hurt and miss time, he has injury concerns". It's "He might effing die on the court."
I know a lot of the people on this board are too young to remember the Loyal Marymount tournament run after Hank Gathers died (or even Reggie Evans in practice), but you can't risk it under any circumstance.

Re: Bosh
I would take him under the event that he is cleared medically by internal AND external doctors, and it is a signing made after he is medically retired.

Re: Bosh
To clarify, bosh would be added after his contract with Miami is medically released, so we can add him for whatever, and then just count anything he brings as a bonus, I thought they were clearing pek off roster. Bosh with health>>>>>> pek with health, and there is plenty of examples of atheletes working out their blood chemistry to the point they can play again.

Re: Bosh
Not interested in seeing Bosh die on a basketball court. No thank you.
I think that whatever team signs him (if one does) is taking a grossly negligent risk.

Re: Bosh
I wouldn't feel right about pushing him to the limit (and possibly over). If his original team isn't willing to take the risk, he should understand that (professional) basketball is over for him.
A healthy, or even sidelined Bosh would be great to have on the team, but I don't want the Wolves to put team needs over an individuals life.

I did find this. Apparently Fleischmann times his treatment so that the blood thinners are out of his system before he has games(not sure about practice or training). Seems like a lot of precautions need to be taken to even come close to being "safe" for him to be on the team. Would be awesome if he could come back, but like when we brought back Brandon Roy, it was just difficult to watch him make contact with anyone. Now with Bosh he could actually be putting his life at risk and not just be risking an injury. Even if I felt like taking that risk. I wouldn't bring him on the road to Denver. I wouldn't play him in back to backs.
I'm don't have any history dealing with blood clotting disorders and i'm not a doctor, but this seems like a really big distraction with a ton of risk. I think it would be pretty difficult to argue that it would be worth it.

I would sign him as a mascot.
Then we could have a timberwolf fight a dinosaur at halftime!

The NFL only plays once a week or so, right? In that case it would be far easier for that to work for him than Bosh, who'd play 2-3 games a week regularly.
If, as someone said above, he is cleared by both team and outside doctors then I'd be all for it. But if not then no. It isn't worth the risk.
I'd ask him to come give some tips to Towns and Gorgui though. He was a pretty good offensive player in his prime.

That is a hockey player. But overall I agree.
