I thought the Knicks board overreactions were bad

I think if we lose Saturday, people are going to be making threads about blowing it up!

"We lost again! Quick, trade Towns and Wiggins for 2 future first round picks and JR Smith!"
"That's why the last two years weren't guaranteed," Walsh said. "Either way, he knew it could have happened either way."

To be quite honest, I had a similar initial reaction after that tough loss the other night. But the rational mind kicked in pretty quickly. It's still a young team that hasn't quite gelled under a new coach. That obviously takes time.

I guess everyone's expectations are too high for this team right now.

Saw this coming when I was called a pessimist for predicting a .500 record.

Honestly, I'd be surprised, and content, if they were much better than a .500 team. You just don't become great overnight.

I dont know if it'll get much better against the queens.

They are starting a huge frontcourt. I think our frontourt is going to have their hands full.

However, we do have a gigantic mismatch in the backcourt; they are starting Affalo and Lawson.

I was expecting the "trade Rubio" cries after one game that wasnt great. I dont believe he was the reason for the loss, nor do i believe it matters much. I dont think Golden State considered trading their core after they lost vs. San Antonio either but some guys here have an agenda and whenever a game goes bad they will come out and repeat their mantra. Lets see who shows up when the wolves win and Ricky scores a triple double, my prediction is we wont see any of them in the game thread.

As for the game i thought that our ROY's were trying too hard at times, especially on the offensive end. Towns thinks he has to be spectacular all the time - he's still a young guy. Same with Wiggins. Offense would look much smoother if they stayed within themselves instead of trying stuff they cant do (yet).

Defensively its always Dieng. Same story as in past years. He refuses to defend PnR in any reasonable way leaving his guard teammate hanging and having to play against 2 guys. I expect Thibs to take very quick action though, he's not Sam and he wont be blind for the flaws of personal "favorites". Another showing like that from Dieng and we will see Bjelica starting.
