Sigh. He isnt out there to score and two of those 5 were last second passes to Ricky where he had to put up a desperation shot. You forgot to mention his six assists, and you didnt care to mention that the guy we really depend on scoring, Wiggy, went 2-10. Whatever.

Overall i see defensive improvement but our offense lives and dies by individual excellence rather than a system that creates easy shots. I dont like the misuse of Ricky who is the best offensive mind of this team but has no part in creating the shot, a dozen pointless handoffs on the perimeter and encouraging guys to be ball stoppers and go 1 on 1 and take bad, contested jumpers all the time. Not impressed by Thibs' offensive idea so far. But that was to be expected.

Lets see Tyus.

Id like to see if its possible for a Minny pg to make a lay up or any kind of shot.

Scoring point gurads excel in Thibs system. Right now that player in our roster is in Thibs dog house.

Conley didnt score a single basket while Ricky was on him. He scored with ease against Dunn. In an offensively nightmarish game, Ricky dished out six assists. The whole team struggles, we supposedly have a "big three" that he isnt part of and they all struggle, but apparently its mainly his fault. Oh well no point arguing here i guess.

Why even bring KAT back into the game when all they run is a Lavine/Payne 2 man game.

I mean, if it weren't for the refs, we'd be in this game still, with all our screw-ups.

It's not only his fault.

But the reality is, Rubio doesn't have the same impact anymore in this team.

His playmaking has been horrible this season , the shooting problems, well, dont improve even a little bit, he doesn't even make his FTs now at same %.

It hurts this team a lot when the other teams are playing 4 on 5 like the Grizzlies today giving Rubio so much space and he doesn't even try to shot the basket.

He does not get to make plays. Maybe once in ten posessions he is allowed to create. Nontheless he had a great game against charlotte with a double double, initiating the landslide. The last two games were bad i agree but that is by far not our main concern.

Overall i think its really time to think about trading him, or else really trust him and let him run the offense. Result would be a lot better than what we get to see lately. If we depend on Wiggins lavine or KAT scoring 30+ points while playing horrible defense, we dont need to discuss about Rubio at all.

He isn't out there to score? Well, glad that is going to plan!

It's ok, he's having a bad game. As are many others on the team. Sometimes you just have to lol, Twolves.

btw why didnt we at least attempt the Bjelica on 3 experiment. I hate when coaches' egos get the better of them, just like sam last year. When you get lucky and stumble into a treasure and refuse to pick it up because its not what you said earlier, thats so disappointing. Size here would have helped a lot.

You are speaking as though he doesn't get to make decisions when in reality he has more decisions than any other player on the team. Are you saying Thibs isn't allowing his savant "offensive mind" to do what it otherwise would?

This is the NBA. There is NO ONE smart enough to beat teams on their own without the physical capability to gain advantage. Ricky can't shoot. Call it mental if you want, but he is what he is.
