For us, that's only make sense if we could move Dieng as part of the deal. Even then, I'm not sure I want to give Noel that much money knowing that Towns, Wiggins, and maybe Lavine are coming up on getting paid.

If that's the mindset you have, how do you sign anyone in free agency?

Which is why I think its good deal for DAL. They must have already been planning on at least trying to sign Noel this offseason. For a relative low cost, they can get him in their system for 2 months, and see if he is worth the money. Low upfront cost to be more(or less) confident if your 100+ mil investment is going to be worth it.

You have to keep that in mind and be smart about the contracts you hand out. MN is not a huge market with unlimited cash. Noel is a good fit but is he worth $20M? I don't think so.

I think MIN is collectively going to be glad we did not add Derrick Rose for Ricky Rubio. That would have been a bad trade for our young culture. Never NOT wanted a deal so badly.

Because they like playing with a lot of C

Another disappointing end to a trading period, in the midst of another hugely disappointing Timberwolves season. What else is new.

We cant even make a minor deal to improve the team ? (for example, K.J. McDaniels)
Unbelievable.

I think the Raptors made two very good deals.

Hibbert doesn't make a lot of sense, but the cost might be nothing. Suppose it's to have another big to throw at Boogie and the Brow.

I wouldn't have minded them making a move for a wing, but that's tough to do with the pick obligations we have already. I'm very happy Ricky is still here.
