I don't know if we have the assets to pull it off.

He's pretty much the opposite of what we need in a front court player.

PF? No.

Can stretch the floor? No.

Rebound? No.

Can defend in space? No.

You mean sign a high quality FA PF in the offseason with the ungodly amount of cap space we have? Why yes I agree.

Noel for a crapload or Ibaka seem reasonable.

Under different circumstances I would go after Okafor, but our biggest needs now are veteran leadership and defense. Okafor doesn't address either.

I'd still consider it but I think Noel is a better fit

Okafor is very talented offensively. But I don't know how well will he fit with Towns.
Maybe very good maybe bad.
In comparison with Noel, Okafor provides strength and offensive skills and Noel provides rim protection, mobility and energy.
I like both of them. I think Okafor is a little better basketball player but Noel may be a better fit for the Wolves.
Anyway, I think both would be an upgrade in comparison with Dieng. Dieng would be excellent as the first substitude coming from the bench

That's the main thing right there FIT we don't need another scorer next to to towns with limited defensive capabilities. We need that strong defensive presence(rim prorecter) to compliment Towns offensive game

The guy we want next to KAT is Nerlens.

At least we'd have a fighting chance against the NOLA twin towers

I'd have a lot of questions about JO on this team - not the least is, can we play him with Towns? My guess is no, given their respective defenses.

But man, it sure would be nice to have someone in the second unit that could command a double-team.

I say, if the price is reasonable, and he's ameable to playing an Enes Kanter role, why not?If we can get a pennies on the dollar deal, let's see if the Tyus-Okafor connection can give us more bench production.

Agreed. If it's cheap I do it and consider it a bench upgrade, but not the missing piece upfront.

Assuming Bazz will be re-signed you'd have two ball hogs in the 2nd unit. Not sure I'd want that.
