And we traded Rubio to start this guy. uggghhh

Fortunately it seems he has some redeeming qualities.

$14 million difference. That's quite a lot. Difference between Taj and no Taj.

I'm sorry for all the people that wanted Lowry but we did the right thing with Teague at 19.

No we didn't. Should have kept the unicorn and signed Green with the money saved.
Or at least just signed Teague and Gibson both for 2 years

33.3 million per year. Yikes. Yeah, everyone is getting overpaid with the new rule. Hard to say Wolves are overpaying when you see other players numbers. You can say the Wolves are doing quite well.

Now that you know the contracts, rank who you would want on the Wolves.

Lowry 3 years, $33 mil per year
Jrue 5 years (we could only offer 4) $25 mil per year
Teague 3 years, $19 mil per year
Rubio 2 years, $14.5 mil per year

George Hill ???????????????????

Rubio
Teague
Lowry
Holiday (apparently the bonuses are attainable, so it might be closer to 150 mill)

After watching more of Teague, his game reminds me of Mr. Stop-n-Pop, Terrell Brandon, in some ways. Anyone else see the comparison?

According to me we are underrating Teague
"...I want to compliment him, we all expected that he would take up the game, we have prepared the plan race on him, we have doubled. And, as usual, he did what he wanted..."

Rubio and it's not even close. However if Lowry would have taken the rumored discount and signed with us for 25 I would have gone that way.

A lot quicker than Terrell, but not nearly as good a shooter. I would take Terrell in his prime over Teague right now.

Follow the Wolves as my second team after the Pistons and I was pretty disgusted by the Rubio trade - Gibson signing

Keep Rubio and sign Millsap for God's sake

Rubio-Butler-Wiggins-Millsap-KAT

MUCH better than

Teague - Butler - Wiggins - GIBSON - KAT

Teague + GIbson = 33 mill

Rubio + Millsap= 43 mill

herein lies the problem, otherwise I agree. Guarantee we begged Millsap to come here for 20-24mill per year but he declined.

Milsap got a discount deal because DEN was the only buyer left with a need and cap space.

Let's not pretend that MIN could have had Milsap for that same contract. If we had offered it, DEN would say, "Oh, we're willing to go higher" and then the bidding war would get Milsap paid.

Teague is top3 pull up shooter in nba, coupled with his slashing ability it makes him a very good scorer. He is not a natural point guard, but with Butler working as facilitator and Wiggins development this is not a big problem. Also we all used to see some incredible passes that Rubio executed without any issues, but it just confirms Rubio passing genius. The rest of the league is OK with simple drive and kick scorers converted to PG.
