keep in mind that Mayo as the clear #3 choice is only coming from one source- Chad Ford, respectively.

when you think about it, don't we have all the leverage in a Mayo-Beasley deal? We have the pick directly after them, so if someone trades up they have to deal with us or else we'll just take Mayo. When we deal with Miami, if Mayo is really the player they want and we're fine with both, why should we add in any sweeteners? Pull a Blazers Foye-Roy on 'em. Draft Mayo and say trade straight up or we'll keep Mayo.

We do have the leverage since Mayo and Beasley would be great fits for us, we shouldn't give them anything more than their pick back to move up.
