Andre Iguodala for 3rd Pick
Would Wolves fans make this trade? It would have to be done in mid July meaning that the Wolves would select the player for the Sixers. Additionally Iguodala is in his restricted free agency year.

I think Iggy is going to be overpaid by a lot, though he would be a great fit. I'd take Mayo and save that capspace though.

Mayo + "free agent with cap space" > Iguodala.
That space can be used to address our desire to get a center, to let Al Jefferson play more PF.
Mayo-Foye should be a scary combo, combined they provide adequate defense (Mayo guarding the 2), combined they provide adequate play-making, and combined they provide scary offense.

curious to why youd wanna trade Iggy for Mayo? Obviously you probably see the potential that we do
This trade is a piece of a larger Sixers offseason move thread that I started. The Sixers at the moment do not have a PG of the future that I am comfortable with in respect to the moves that were made in that thread. Mayo looks like he could be that guy.
Would this trade be of more interest to you Wolves fans if Lou Williams were added?

I'd consider it. It would depend on what we would have to trade, but if it was #3(Mayo), Jaric, and Buckner to make the money for AI2's extension that's close to Jefferson money and reasonable for him. If he's looking for max money than I probably wouldn't.
I like Mayo, but Iguadola is an 18-20ppg scorer who averages around 5 rebounds and 5 assists from the SG/SF position. He's young, proven, and still has upside and is a legitimate 2nd star type to pair with Al. Mayo might be the better player long term, but it's still a crap shoot with anyone you draft, so I'd consider it.

Most mock drafts dont follow the Wolves closely enough and fail to realize our team is still considered to be draft best player available. Not need.
At 4 I'd take Lopez
At 3 Id take Mayo or whoever Miami doesnt choose.
Its that easy to see. Im surprised most "experts" havent caught that yet. Its turning into a 3 horse draft daily.

And same goes for your pick this year. For the Wolves to budge, I think it'd take an Iggy/Dalembert package, with Jaric outgoing. And I wouldn't do that if I were the Sixers
You know that's a terrible package and even admitted so yourself.
That's too much value from the Sixers for a player that isn't a guaranteed PG. A shot blocking, rebounding, floor running center and 20 5 and 5 type multipurpose SG/SF for a combo guard that isn't considered in the top 2 players in the draft? There is the risk that OJ could be a bust that simply isn't good enough like Antonio Daniels. Are you adding in Jaric to get rid of his salary or balance salaries? Philly is UNDER the cap so the Sixers can trade whomever they want to any team without the cap being a factor. With that said Jaric will not be included nor Dalembert. I would have thought that Iggy and Lou Williams would have been enough...
Other Wolves fans weigh in. Are Iggy and Lou Will enough for the 3rd pick?

No, and its really not very close!
You have to factor Iguodala and Mayo's paychecks in. Even if MIN really wanted Iguodala, why wouldn't they just offer Iggy (or a comparable FA) max money, and dare PHI to match?
At that price tag, you're in the "overpay, or lose him for nothing" club with Iguodala, and nobody's going to throw you OJ Mayo, locked in on a cheap rookie deal for four years, for a player they have a chance to get without even trading him.
The Dalembert-for-Jaric component that you hate so much helps make up the huge trade value gap between Iguodala and Mayo, and even then, Dalembert's contract is nothing great .. he's finally doing enough on the floor to justify his money.
