What I enjoy most about the Celtics is their balance... there is no "MJ and 11 other guys" feel to them. They're like the Spurs: great defense, 3 offensive stars, great role players, great coaching...oops. Almost like the Spurs, I guess.
The Celts are much, much more likable than the Spurs for me. I wonder if that's just KG's intensity vs. the Spurs blase professionalism?

Before the Celtics even clinched vs. Detroit. I gave them no shot vs. the Lakers. I predicted the Lakers in 5 or 6 if the Celtics make it to the Finals. Right now I'd have to say the Celtics in 6.
My Kobe Bryant website I designed myself: http://personal.stthomas.edu/dnnguyen/kb24.

I am glad to see Boston doing well and am hoping they win. I think the Lakers played rather poorly and expect more from them in the upcoming games, it was definitely not their best ball. I hope Boston wins, but before the series started, I thought the Lakers would win. Hopefully I am wrong.
KG was definitely the best player throughout the majority of the game. Down the stretch, not so much, but he was a factor. Pierce was a big lift and hit some clutch shots. The way I look at it, KG is the starter and Pierce is the closer. Allen is the middle relief maybe that sometimes just closes.
As for the Willis Reed thing. Again, not so much, or better yet, not at all. Pierce gave the emotional lift, but the injuries were clearly much different and what Reed did was SO much more.

I think its the Celtics ruggedness vs the Spurs pussyness
When Pierce hit those back to back threes I started doing pushups and clapping in between "1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - united - states - marine - core"

I don't know, it looked like he was favoring the leg for the rest of the game. We'll have to see how he comes back for the rest of the series. KG against the Wolves comes to mind, where he gets hurt, comes back and celebrates like a madman, then misses the next 7 games.
Getting carried off the floor and leaving on a wheel chair seemed a little over the top, but I doubt that stuff was his idea.

I'm happy the Celtic's have Posey. I hope Kobe doesn't get too many phantom calls.
I wanted to say I was happy with what I saw of Posey on Kobe. I think Kobe is still going to get his points, but Posey often looked like he was making Kobe make difficult shots. That's all I ask for.

I think "pussyness" is the title of Maynard James Keenan's new side project.
I did like the Spurs a lot better when they had Avery Johnson and David Robinson (who was KG before KG was KG, at least in terms of being a Hall-of-Famer who couldn't quite close the deal.) The current Spurs' flopping is hard to watch.

Del Negro, Sean Elliot, I liked those Spurs teams too. David Robinson is still one of my favorite players all time, even though he needed a Duncan to help put him over the top.
I am SOOOOOO Glad Van Gundy called out Kobe on his defensive deficiencies. And I LOL'd when Marc Jackson said a year ago he would never put Kobe in the same sentence as MJ, but I recall him 2 or 3 years ago said he was BETTER that MJ during the playoffs on ESPN then a week later, when the Lakers got bounced he took it back.

oh yeah. too bad my pie broke just before it began but the finish made up for it. oh and the win makes up for a short sleeping time as well. I hope the C's will close the series soon b/c staying up so long for a longer period is kinda doing some damage to my mental status...
