Not official so don't shoot the messenger.
Assuming the info is true, he's 6'9-6'9.5 in shoes.
Where does that put him on people's draft boards?
1. Rose
2a. Mayo
2b. Beasley
3. Lopez
4. Randolph
5. Gallinari
6. Love
There's still 6 guys ahead of Love on my draft board. If Gallinari workouts prove that he has below-average to average athleticism, I might move Love ahead of him.

How can it not be good for his stock?
He was expected to measure out at around 6'9" in shoes, and coming in at 6'8.25" means that he'll be at least that (shoes typically add 1"-1.75" in height, and since the NBA rounds up, if they add 1.25"+, Love will be listed at 6'10"). What will help/hurt his stock more is his wingspan/standing reach.
It isn't like a 6'8.25" measurement from a non-elite athlete means he'll have a cruddy career. Al Jefferson measured at 6'8.25" without shoes, and he seems to have turned out okay.

"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''

Reporter: Do you know Kevin McHale? Have you ever talked to him?
Kevin Love: I feel like I know him just from watching the old school tapes back in the day. All the up and unders, all the step backs and the hook throughs. I mean all of those guys, Bird, Parrish, Johnson and Danny Ainge; Landon Ainge played on my high school team. I watched all of those guys, but definitely Kevin McHale was my favorite growing up.
Reporter: Have you scheduled a workout with Minnesota?
Kevin Love: I think it

6' 8.25 = 6'9 to 6'10 with shoes. That's tall enough to play power forward. He's about the same size as Big Al right now.
It's sounding more and more like Love will be our pick. In interviews lately he's really been sucking up to McHale and embracing Minneapolis/cold weather. He really sounds like the type of guy McHale would fall in love with. He's a true student of the game.
I'm basically preparing myself for Love being our draft pick. The more I think about it, the more I like it. Sure he'll be a liability on defense. On offense though, having two dynamic low post scorers will be near impossible to stop. Try doubling them and then you have to deal with Foye and McCants knocking down threes. Both of them shot over 40% from 3 last year.
Mayo is still the guy I like, but if it's not him I'll be happy with Kevin Love.

But the Wolves need a center because Big Al is too small! (among other reasons.) I like Love too, but if that's McHale's plan he'd better be trading down. Mayo, Bayless, Randolph... all are more highly rated. You can get better value for the #3.

More highly rated by other teams - NY would kill for Mayo, the Grizzlies like Lopez, etc. The Wolves may think that Love is the guy, but if other teams like different guys it's stupid to take Love so high.

Some people think Memphis will take Love, so they'd be a the lowest we could go... and outside of Rudy Gay, none of their other pieces do much for me.
And there's no way we could pry him away in a pick swap.
Knicks or Clippers, either of which would covet Mayo's star power and talent. If Memphis takes Love, the Wolves would still be left with Lopez, who some think should be their pick at 3 anyway.

I actually thought he was going to be shorter, so this kind of improves his stock as far as I'm concerned. If he's 6'8 1/4 without shoes, that should mean he'll end up at about 6'9 or 6'8 3/4 with shoes on, which isn't too terribly bad for a PF. It all depends on his wingspan now.
Tier 1:
1) Beasley
2) Mayo
3) Rose
(You can call me crazy or whatever you want, but I think Mayo has more superstar potential than Rose. I wouldn't even be surprised if Mayo ends up being hands down the best player to come out of this draft class)
Tier 2
1) Gallinari
2) Randolph
3) Lopez
4) Bayless
Tier 3
1) Love
2) Gordon
Tier 4:
1) Jordan
2) Westbrook
3) Augustin
4) Speights
5) Rush
6) Alexander (need a little more consistency on the jumper before I put him ahead of Rush)
Tier 5:[/b]
1) Arthur
2) Budinger
3) Greene
4) McGee
5) R. Lopez
6) Koufos
