Apparently John Paxson said tonight that we'll be trading Sonny Weems for a Euro who won't be able to come over right away. Some guys on the Bulls board have speculated that it could be Pekovic. Just speculation, of course. I hope it's true, b/c we need another 2/3 player like we need a hole in the head (and we passed on CDR and Bill Walker to take Weems anyway). Anyway, it's interesting that McHale says he's working on something as well. We shall see.

EDIT: ah, bp10 beat me by a minute.

EDIT #2: Never mind. Bulls fans are now saying that we traded Weems for Omer Asik.

Those were crappy drafts deeney. This was probably the best draft in recent memory for bigs.
bigs going in the 30's this year are better than sean williams, who went 17th last year.

the guys we'd get with those 2nds next year likely would've been undrafted this year.

Great start to the draft.......................after that it was a total buzzkill :noway:

I'm sure McHale has at least one trade up his sleeve, more than likely involving McCants. Thats the only reason I see we come away with ONE player with 3 picks in the first 34. :banghead:

I just hope that both of us are right. The Bulls do need a big man prospect like Pekovic. I would love to keep Weems, but would be really hard to find playing time for him with all of the guards on the team already.

DAJ and Hardin aren''t even close to Sean Williams. This isn't even close to a good draft for bigs. If they were good, they'd have gone earlier. This is a guard draft through and through.

Edit: And suggesting the 2003 Draft was bad... idk what to say.

Just posted on the Bulls board that they get Asik. You guys keep Pekovic for now.

I don't care what it is. Just finish the night McHale with Mayo. And do it soon!

NOT AS DEEP, not BAD. learn to read geez.

Are you serious?
Sean Williams sucks balls, he's shorter, and has a big pot problem.
He also has absolutely no offensive skills. I'd say sean williams is either player's worst case scenario.

You're complaining about no offensive skills but you wanted Devin Hardin?

Better than 2 worthless 2009 2nds and cash.

And anyone 6'11 without a chronic drug problem>sean williams.

Raptors fan here. Just wanna say that Nikola Pekovic is one helluva a player. I'm from Serbia, i've seen him play many times.

Big body 6'11 real big, Big Baby Glen Davis like body. Solid Post moves. Powerful.

He's the best center in Europe right now.

However he just signed a huge multi-year contract with the Greek Club Panatainokos.

So he won't be coming over to the NBA for at least 3-4 years. He also said in mutiple interviews that he doesn't like the NBA game, the style and that he'd prefer to stay in Europe.

Anyways hope that info tells you something more than you knew.

Good luck with Kevin Love and Mike Miller
