My dream scenario is Beasley but Mayo is probably the best consolation prize ever.

Still doubt we trade down for Love.

Ive been a little open to trading Miamis 1st round rights back along with Mayo for Beasley.

thatd be a real home run. I doubt Miami would do that over someone like Wilcox?

Beasley is very good it's just that drafting another SF.... A 6'7,8? PF wouldn't be too good on defense, then we would be forcing Al to be our center for the future which could reduce his production IMO. But if one of the mod's or someone want to call me about somethings, I have no problem with that man, just leave me a PM.

Yea I'm getting tired of all this worrying and crap. I'm ready to just take Mayo and run. Too much baggage with Beasley and trading him or moving down etc. Lets get Mayo and get the hell out of dodge. Miami better not screw us.

The Wolves cant lose here......no matter what Miami and Seattle have in place, MN takes whoever remains of Beasley and Mayo after Miami's pick. Take either one and run and don't f*** it up by trying to make a fancy trade.

Yeah, Minny really can't mess this up as long as they know what they want. They're in the driver's seat in this deal. If they truly want OJ Mayo, they will be in position to take him because I just consider there no way possible that the Heat just take Mayo at #2. I say take Mayo and run like Calinks said.

unless we draft kevin love. we'd have wasted a top 3 pick for an outlet pass specialist...

For the last few weeks, I have been ridiculed by MIA posters (some have spilled over here) for my beliefs that:

1. MIA may choose Mayo
2. MIA may trade the #2
3. A team getting the #2 in trade may take Mayo.

"What a homer! You're only saying this because deep down, you really want Mayo! Everyone with half a brain knows this is a 2-player draft! You aren't smart enough to understand the working of a genius like Pat Riley."

Today, my beliefs are now the #2 story on ESPN.

Thanks for posting that devilz, and reawakening my inner childishness. I may have to gloat myself.

I'm happy with any news that means Mayo.

And I think it ends up being Wilcox+Green+4, which is overpaying.

I think there's a trade in there though between the 3 teams with Seattle going to 2, Miami to 3, and MN to 4.

MN gets Love + 24, Miami gets Mayo + Wilcox, Seattle gets Beasley

I know you guys would hate that, but personally I'd take it. I'd like to get Love and CDR, or Batum, or Rush, or Greene

it was posted by banks. I dont believe the part of the F.O. not liking Beasley though

The front office has been divided on him. But....

TheFranchise21 wrote:I've heard different things about the way our FO feels about Beasley. I think McHale is sensing there's a very small possibility we might end up with Beasley and so that is why he tried to set up the phone interview. That is not a smokescreen. Its us trying to get more info on Beasley in case we end up with him.

ding-ding-ding. We have a winner. I have heard that the "chip" on B-easy would be the motivation for him to go paul pierce and try and take things to another level. Our front office is divided, but the guys that matter would take Beasley. But----they would move him if the right scenario comes along.

Actually, we do not have a current sf (Gomes is best off the bench as a 3/4--Brewer is more of a 2 until he gets bigger) Beasley would fit perfect as a 3 with brew as a 2 and Foye as a 1. I think we could go small with Al-5, Beas-4, etc. But long term we add a shot blocker and let Beasley play 3. I have very limited doubts about his ability to switch. it is just a matter of him wanting to.

Banks. I will pm you my phone number. I could add you to my txt. I like that you are posting more often here.

I would be so happy if Seattle went and offered that.

Jarred (DC): Chad, Please tell me the Heat aren't going to get any suitable offers so the "have to" hold onto the pick and take Beasley?

Chad Ford: (1:09 PM ET ) So far ... that's how it looks. They don't have a trade yet. I think they'd be happy with a deal that nets them either O.J. Mayo or Jerryd Bayless and gives them some cap relief by taking Mark Blount off their hands. Seattle could reciprocate (they could send Chris Wilcox). So could Minnesota (they could send back Antoine Walker's expiring deal). If I were Minnesota or Seattle, I'd do that deal in a heartbeat. But as of right now ... sounds like the Heat and Wolves and Sonics are all playing chicken.

Wolves can't take back Blount for 'Toine, a player can't be traded back to a team he was traded from for 12 months.

if that's true I'm really relieved. not that I think McHale is that dumb to do it but hey given the scenario that it might go wild tonight and the pressure to pull a deal off might force someone to do this kind of crap.
